Are ADR's linked to vacation reservations? I unsterstood this to be true so that if you cancel your vacation all your dining gets cancelled too.

My issue is that we are a party of 11, but all the dining was made in friend's name. Now friend may need to cancel trip. I am in full panic mode that if she cancelled we are screwed with ADR's. The TA I'm working with is friend's TA so not someone I personally know. TA has said that this ADRs will be fine, but still will be under friends name is all. It will not be easy for the remaining 7 of us to get new reservations at the places we scoped out months ago

NO... I've cancelled a trip and still had the dining. I'm not sure it still works that way... call the dining reservations place. I canceled, then reserved at a different place... but, all my dining stayed. Just call them.

This may depend on a few things.

First are you on the dining plan??

When making ADR's you can associate your dining plan with your ADR's by entering your name, 12 digit code and arrival date!

Now if they are associated it may cancel both but don't quote me on that, someone else may know better

The only time your resort reservation has anything to do with your restaurant ADRs is during the window when you're 180 days from check-in and can book up to 10 days of restaurants. Cancelling, changing or in any way doing anything to your resort reservation has no impact on your ADRs.

Disney recognises that just because you decide not to stay with them doesn't mean you're not coming at all. :king:

Your ADRs will also show up if you go to "My Vacation", which is tied to your Resort reservation, but still they don't cancel when you cancel the resort. Promise!
