i personally hate abercrombie, and its not just because of the disgusting naked people adorning the walls. its SO loud in there! whenever i go in there (which isn't often) i always come out feeling like my insides are vibrating. its horrid. i hope they don't go out of business though because that would mean hollister would close too and i would die. simply drop dead there on the spot.

Let's get somethin straight i didn't intend to take a shot at goths/punks because they couldn't afford AnF's clothes. I know perfectly well that there are lot of goths/punks that have a lot of money, but don't want 2 shop there. I have nothin agianst the goths/punks, simply that i disagree in their clothes and ideals they represent. Just the same as a goth/punk would disagree completly with Abercrombie's clothes and ideals.

The thing is this discussion is gettin crazy AnF is a buisness and allow everyone to buy their clothes. As for the fact that their marketing is wrong it is photography that is tasteful and dosn't show anything horrible. Also the fact that i am christain: i don't go there to look at hot gurls i go there to buy there clothes and get more stuff to have an Abercrombie Look. I plan to work at aberctrombie when i am old enough, while in college. i go to a baptist school and many guys and gurls there love Abercrombie and understand that their moldling is not right. Even some teachers think it is cool! As for people who think that the people who were AnF are just people who want 2 be populat. Yes, i began to shop there and suddenly i was popular but isn't that what everone wants. 2 buy clothes that look good and people like. AnF is also not liked y obese people because their clothes are extremely small, but the fact is that they have stores that carry the same look and are fitted for their shape and size.

i just went to Abercrombie today and their was a twenty five minute line to but the clothes. OMG that dosn't seem like bankruptcy is near.

AnF will rock forever!

To be popular for the clothes I wear? I hope I misinterpreted that. The friends you make that way are not the types to stick around for a very long time.

:(

I used to get so mad because my parents didn't let me keep up with all the trends. I owned ONE IOU top, not 49857486743892 like everyone else at school, and no Cavariccis (the horrors!!!). But their message eventually sunk in, and I am grateful to them today. I must say it took a few years

Everyone is free to shop where he wants, but don't buy clothes for the wrong reasons. That's just a waste of money. My foster kids in Nepal, Pakistan, China and the Philippines don't care about brands. They are just happy to get something to keep them warm. I'll be the first to admit that I love to shop as much as the next girl. But by realizing that a few bucks saved here or there can go towards stuff for them, I keep myself in check (most of the time) :lookaroun

The thing about these kinds of stores is this. They're on the edge of fashion. A&F was kinda like the gap at first. Very cutting edge, very trendy. While they maintain their trendy image, they are no longer the only place that you can buy their style of clothes however. Every major chain in the world now carries almost exact styles of faded/whisker/bootcut/stretch/whatever jeans and shirts, but for half the price.

It's not that the clothes there isn't nice. It's that they've lost their edge and are struggling to get it back. And it's not working.

You said "I started to shop there and suddenly I was popular." This is just scary. Someday you and your friends will grow up and see that it's not the clothes that make you cool. However, this is more grade school garbage that you'll grow out of eventually.

And by the way, I was at the Mall of American last night, and there are 2 A&F stores there...both were deserted. You can't tell me that Bankruptcy isn't near because you saw big lines there right before christmas. Those stands in the mall that sell those flying frisbee discs had lines, so that's not really a good gague.

Ok I was gonna stay out of this... but now I need to say something.

A person cannot buy the "Same thing somewhere else in their size" Abercrombie is discriminating against larger people such as myself. I live in a very nice school district where alot of people wear this kind of clothes, but if one looks at the people here who wear this they wear size 0. Yes the other stores do carry nice clothes but people buy Abercrombie for the name, not the actual artical of clothing. Most stores that carry plus size clothes are normaly geared to adults, not teens, so its not that simple to find the "same look"

Ok... its out of my system now.
