For the first time ever
ABC Family Channel will air all eight films in the
Harry Potter movie series in a Harry Potter Weekend movie marathon beginning this Friday. Harry Potter Weekend movie marathons have been a staple of
ABC Family Channel’s programming for several years now and are very popular with fans of the books and movies. It’s called a “Potterhead Weekend” because Harry Potter fans refer to themselves as Potterheads.
This is a big week for Harry Potter fans as The Wizarding World of Harry Potter –
Diagon Alley opens this Tuesday at Universal Studios Florida in Orlando. This “Potterhead Weekend” is a great way for fans to celebrate even though they might not be able to head down to enjoy the new Diagon Alley themed environment.
For those who can’t head down to Orlando any time soon, why not invite some fellow Potterheads over to watch the “Potterhead Weekend” and arrange a potluck Hogwarts Feast with Potter themed activities during commercial breaks.
Reed’s, makers of all-natural sodas, makes Flying Cauldron Butterscotch Beer, and recipes for a Hogwarts’ feast can be found in
“The Unofficial Harry Potter Cookbook” by Gina M. Meyers. “The Unofficial Harry Potter Party Book” by Jessica Fox is a great help in planning a “Potterhead Weekend” party. Both books are available at Amazon.com.
