ABC Commissary (3rd shift)

Can anyone confirm that sometime last week I believe it was, that the third shift at MGM's ABC Commissary were responsible for a bomb that was placed in the restaurant. Nothing happened as the situation was taken care of and they were fired immediately. I'm not sure what the hours are for that shift, but I'm assuming it would be people cleaning at night or something.

(Please don't flame me for this either, I just want to know if anyone has any information on it, thanks!)

I found out from a CM and a manager (2nd shift, (I think) again not sure on times). I just wanted someone to confirm this and to find out more information about it: reason behind it, who it was, where it was exactly and why there, etc.

Thanks

Bomb? Like a firecracker or a truck load of fertilizer?

I think this might be an internal CM rumor.

All I was told was that it was a bomb and could have caused some serious damage. I take that as it was more than a firecracker but don't know as I want to know the rest of the story. As far as being an internal rumor, it came from a manager there so I don't question it at all. I am guessing they didn't publicize it more as to worry the public with anything else right now as they already have hurricanes. If it was a guest that did that, I'm sure it would have been all over the news.

Problem with this is, it causes arrests. Arrests get picked up by media, and then everyone knows. Unless it comes out publically via newspapers or TV within a couple days, you were lied to.

I hope they find out whoever did this. In this day and age, any threat such as this, fact or fiction, has to be taken seriously. So far, I haven't heard anything of this until now (so I hope it is a false alarm), but who knows? If anyone does know anything about this, do tell.

Maybe they were unhappy about the horrible food there!
To me, ABC Commisary has the best fast-food (if fact the best food) in all of the Studios. I can't remember the name of it (even if I could I wouldn't be able to spell it), but they have this Brazillian dish with rice and beans and some other stuff. It sounds disgusting but tastes great. Before that, I loved their Chicken Yakatori.

Well, I ate a burger and fries there and it was totally disgusting. My family normally eats burgers at the parks and we like them a lot. So, as you can see we don't expect much. Anyway, I ordered one at the ABC Commissary and it was so bad I had to throw it away.

You can't say a place has terrible food based on one experience from one item on the menu. I personaly love their Cuban Sandwich, and the Vegetable stir fry is really good too.

I like the commisary because it has different kinds of food. It isn't the standard burger and hot dog place. You can get a good variety of things there.

That is the ONLY thing I will attempt to eat there...

IF I can stand to listen to all those tv's pushin' whatever it is that is on abc lately...(ugh!)

I try not to eat at the counter service at MGM. Never have been really impresed. Then again, now that I think about it...I'm not too sure of ANY counter service that has really, truly impressed me in WDW.

Dude, I can't remember the name of it either, but that rice/beans/beef dish is delicious! I typically order it by its number (since I can't pronounce it), and that's probably why I can't remember the name. :slurp:

I couldn't take it anymore so I looked up the name, it is called a Feijoada (now how you say it is beyond me). Another reason I love ABC Commisary besides the different menu choices is their breakfast. First, they are one of the only non-PS breakfast places in the 'world' (along with only Electric Umbrella and Tusker House in AK. I love the French Toast sticks. I used to love them when I was a little kid but it seemed that for a while they went on hiatus. For a few years, it seemed as if they took that off every menu. Now though, they have the Sticks at most of the breakfasts.
