Does anyone know how much the AAA discount is for a WDW magic your way/plus dining. I am thinking about joining AAA just for the discount.
Thanks for any help on this subject.

I believe they only take between 10 and 30% off the room portion of the package. I'm not sure though, I booked a MYW dining package from AAA and the quote I got from AAA was about $600 less than from the Disney Company. :)

There was a recent thread, if you do a search you should be able to find it. I think there was some pretty good info there.

We've used AAA only once to book a trip and then ended up canceling because we got a better deal from Disney.

I believe that the discount depends on the season (value, regular, peak, etc.). Last year my wife and I went, and stayed at the Pop Century. We ended up paying a little under $100 per night for our stay. The regular rack rate for that time was about $125 (if I remember correctly). The Unofficial Guide claims that the AAA discount is always between 10 and 20 percent. Sounds about right.

No discount on the dining plan thru AAA - it's a flat rate. But I saved over $300 on my room/ticket package over booking with Disney.....

Did you still get the silly coupons for the free planet hollywood entre they always give you when you book with Disney? If not I guess I know what that entre was worth, $300 buck... Wow can't say it was worth that.

I've checked with AAA over the years and sometimes they have good deals and other times they are the same as booking through Disney. I would watch the Disney website for specials if your dates are open, if you have specific dates such as when kids are out of school then check both for a price comparison. We booked last years trip and this years trip both through AAA, there were no big deals going on and I checked the Disney site also and the price was exactly the same, but since my girlfriend works for AAA she gets a small rebate for using her employer. And from my own experience, always book your airfare seperately online through someone like cheaptickets. You might get good room rates from both AAA and Disney but the airfare always seems a bit high to me.

My wife and I are going in late April and after a great deal of research, we went with AAA. They were about $300 cheaper than any other sources we looked at. They though in a few perks and coupons as well (nothing too exciting). However, we were not able to get a discount on the DDP, as someone had mentioned above.

Hope this helps!

Yes, we did get the coupon for Planet Hollywood - left it in the room, though!! The better coupon was the Diamond Card which gave us 10% off our meal @ PH, and all our purchases in the big Disney store @ Downtown Disney. We waited until our last night and went down, had dinner and bought most of the souveniers and Christmas stuff and saved another $50.00.

I am curious, did you get free parking by booking through AAA or were you onsite where it was already free.

I saved right at $1000 by booking through AAA for our upcoming trip. If your driving to the parks you get to park in the Diamond Parking section which is right next to the handicaped section.

I always get my park hoppers and hotel through AAA. The only bad thing about AAA is when you go to book a hotel room, the resort only has certain rooms for AAA members. So if thre are no rooms for the time you want to go you can not get a discounted room.. I had to split my vacation between POP and POFQ bc the week I was going they had some big thing going on and the only way I could get discounted room/rooms was if I split up the vacation between 2 hotels and let me tell you it is great. I love pop but POFQ is now my fav resort.
