A Week Late, I Know! 3/8-3/12

Okay, this is my FIRST EVER trip report that I've attempted. Granted it's taken me a week to get my thoughts straight enough to do this, but ya'll know about the Post WDW High that you get.

Okay - Let's start from the day before to set you up for the rest of the week... It's not a pretty picture...

Saturday - March 6th, 2004

None of you really know this, but I have been suffering from anxiety, high stress levels, extremely high blood pressure, and various other no fun things because of my ex boyfriend. There are been some terrible issues in the past 2 months that have made me basically a vegetable (thus, the reason I've not been posting as much :(.)

I take a shower after going to the tanning bed so I can get some last minute supplies from Target and then go to work. My roommate and I were going to leave for WDW once I got off work. Well, I was shaving my legs and the next thing I know, I wake up on the floor of the shower with a HUGE knot on my head and I'm seizuring.

I don't know how I did it or even how I got there, but I drove to of all places where I work. They saw me start to throw up and watched my eyes roll in the back of my head numerous times. My boss takes me to the ER. I'm in there for 4 hours getting numerous tests done that have cost me a whopping 3 grand so far without actual doctor costs.

It turns out that he is such a sonovabitch that he's caused my stress to basically take over my body and now I have to watch b/c I'm prone to seizures for the rest of my life.

Bottom Line: Doctor told me no traveling until Tuesday at the earliest.

Meanwhile, I'm getting blood work, MRIs, CT Scans, etc and my ex has the NERVE to call the ER, find out what room I'm in, and as I pick up the phone START TO YELL AT ME.

My Bottom Line: I had to leave no matter what the Doctor said. I needed away from this place and all his things that were killing me.

We drive from the Good Ol' Mountains of NC all the way down to Sunny Orlando Florida. I couldn't really drive though because I was still throwing up from my concussion. I know it wasn't the smartest thing folks, but I needed to get away.

We arrive at the Springhill Suites in the Marriott Village on Little Lake Bryan. It's an awesome hotel and we're only of only 10 rooms on property to have a balcony. Ahhhhh... My roommate and I immediately hit up room service, go to the hottub and relax. Then we get all sexy and head to Bahama Breeze which is in walking distance from our hotel. I loved it. (And the bartender was really cute too!) :slurp:

We go back to our room, partake in the Full House and Cosby Show double take on Nick at Nite, set our alarm for 7am and have sweet dreams of Disney all night long.

Tomorrow: MGM :sohappy:

MGM

My roommate had never been to Disney before and I wanted to make sure that we go to do everything that there was to do in one short day. MGM closed @ 7pm and I wasn't sure how that would pan out with the crowds and such. The crowds were not bad at all!! We got at the gate at 8:07 and waited. We were the first ones through a turnstile and my roommate was excited.

We ran around like we owned the place all day long, except for my whole being concussed thing.

Here's my fav digicam pic from the trip so far...

Ahh, I love Bill Cosby!!

Monday Night we met up with Rob and Dave for some good ol' free/cheap food at Outback. :slurp:

I can't believe I didn't even think to get pictures with these guys. It was really funny too!! It was a colder Florida evening, but since we are mountain girls and it's snowing at that moment where we're from we didn't mind it too much. We went to dinner in skirts and halters or thin shirts. Rob shows up in jeans and like 3 layers including a sweater on top.

We enjoyed a few drinks, had some crazy conversation, and didn't remember to get pictures...

What were we thinking guys??:hammer:

Magic Kingdom

We arrived at MK at 8:15am and we even got to ride in the front of Monorail Lime! That was the ONE thing I wanted to do and it was the exact monorail I wanted to also. I didn't receive a certificate, but I'm sure the driver didn't understand that I've wanted to do that since I was 4.

We were like person 457684967 to show up that early and it was quite uncomfortable the way they had everyone cram into the front facing the trainstation. The opening of MK was magical though. I had never seen it and I got chills. My roommate cried!!

First thing we did was Fast Pass PhilharMagic. It was amazing. It's more than I would have expected it to be. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up!

We ended up doing everything there was to do @ MK except the Magic Carpets, Tom Sawyers Island, the shooting gallery, and Hall of Presidents. Everything else we did at least once if not twice!

I had a terrible experience on BTMRR though. I was furious for like an hour afterward. We were in car # 3 and cars 1 & 2 had prepubescent boys in them. They got into a spitting war and every single time they spit it came back on me and my roommate. I started screaming b/c some of it was on my face and *GASP* some went in my mouth and I was gagging.

I told them off with a quickness and followed them to their mothers and yelled at the mothers for letting them run off and leaving them unattended. I told the mothers every 4 letter word they were saying and I made sure that they knew that their "angel" sons were actually mean jerks that I didn't want to see anywhere else in the parks...

Then, I went on CBJ for some Pixie Dusting and I was all better.

Wishes rocked my world. We had an excellent view, but we were behind the castle in between TomorrowLand on that Bridge so we really didn't get an aligned view of how the fireworks should look. It was the best topper to a wonderful day!

After Wishes was over, it took us 2 hours to get home. The TTA floweth over and it felt like an eternity before we arrived back safely. Off to bed to get up again @ 7am.

Animal Kingdom

Well, the water in our hotel decided that it didn't want to work this morning. We went to AK unshowered, and with our teeth unbrushed. We were NOT happy campers...

We brought our tooth brushes and some toothpaste so we could use that bathroom right at the entrance to at least clean our furry teeth. It was a cold morning and all we had was shorts. It wouldn't have been as bad if the wind wasn't blowing, but what can I say, bad things come in 3s.

As we're making a B line for the bathroom door, that talking palm tree comes out from the hallway next to the bathroom and sees us first. Next thing I hear is, "Ohh, look at the tourists. We're on Spring Break Whoo Hooo, but we wore shorts and now we're cold. Blah Blah Blah..."

I was mad!! He was ripping into us for wearing shorts b/c we didn't have anything else and we are two prissy girls who never go out in public unshowered. Whoever that was manning the palm tree was on my bad list for the day.

Nothing eventful happened in AK except the ostrich that stalled us for 10 minutes on the Safari.

Final Day - March 11th, 2004

EPCOT

Well, even though I was concussed still, I had to ride Mission: Space. We ended up riding it twice and TT once in the interests of my head hurting. It was worth it though. I kept standing in the PreShows going "Aye Aye Lutenant Dan! New legs I say, new legs!" I had everyone cracking up around me.

I had that gourmet Mac n Cheese just like I wanted to in Les Chefs de France and it was everything I imagined and more. Everything that there was to do in EPCOT we did, some more than once.

I have a new SSE boyfriend named Kevin. He thought I was riding it over and over again to see him load me on, but it was just b/c my roommate decided that was her "naptime" ride.

Everything was magical - just how I wanted it to be for a WDW first-timer.

We made plans and reservations for Fall break that night at the front desk, and we'll be back October 5th-11th!!

I had this funny experience with a CM on Indy Speedway in MK.

**Crude College Humor & Innuendos Enclosed**

My roommate and I wanted to ride Indy and the line wasn't terribly long at all. They were still snaking you around for no reason, so we just hurdled the metal bar and got in line. This CM doing the CP started smiling and laughing at us. He started shouting, "I can't believe you just cheated in the Magic Kingdom! You've cheated Walt himself!" and so on.

So, I being the flirtatious sorority girl I am with a southern accent said, "But we only wanted to show you how long our legs were" and smiled really big. He let us go and even put us in the front of the line so we could ride next.

Our car pulls up and he said, "Ahh, you guys get the noisey one." I wasn't even thinking about anything naughty but I replied "We like it noisey..."

He turned a million shades of red. I continued licking my lollipop and winked at him.

His final words to us were, "HEY! Keep it Disney..."

I'm now working a lot harder to cleanse myself of him. I've had to deal with IBS and a bleeding ulcer for months now because of what he says to me and how he treats me. He's a manipulating jerk who has had another girlfriend for over a month, but he still wants to have his cake and eat it too. Thus, he feels the need to tell me on a daily basis that I am worthless and that he is basically God.

I should have known... He always made fun of my Disneyphilia habits. It could have never worked because of that simple act. ;)

I just need lots of hugs, support and such these days. Disney was an amazing escape that I needed more than a visit to the ER because it helped my mental health.

I've decided I don't want another relationship. I just want a male companion to take me out, tell me I'm beautiful, and make me feel like I'm worth something again.

IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?? :hammer:
