Trip Report A Very Merry Sweet 16!! (Completed)

Then it was off to Potatoland...
We had one more ride to do....
Hope wanted to watch Fantasmic! again... I didn't argue with her.
We were preparing to leave the park, but Hope wanted to see the show on the Chinese Theater. So we watched Movie Magic and Wonderful World of Animation. It was okay... but one and done for me.

We said goodnight to HS and took the Skyliner back to POP. By the time we got back to the Resort, we were all hungry, but no one wanted to eat at the food court. So you know what that means...
We decided to try something new and went to D-Luxe Burger.
The shakes were AWESOME!
The rest was okay... If you have a Five Guys burger place - that's what D-Luxe Burger reminded me of.

We got back to our room to find our Magicbands would not let us in our room! We were locked out!! We walked back to the lobby to see what was going on.
So.... long story short...
We added on an extra night a couple of months before our trip, but at the time they could not link the it to our other nights. When we checked in, they said they linked it without a problem. Well apparently there was a problem. They told me I was supposed to check out and then check back in that morning, only they never told me that. No big deal. It took them about 20 minutes to figure it all out and they reset out MB's to work - which they did. Everyone passed out cold, except me. I stayed up a bit to pack our stuff up. It's nights like these I miss Stacey keeping me company. lol
So.... long story short...

We always get the blue popcorn in Star Wars land. Partly because if you have a popcorn bucket you can get a refill. Partly because the other one didn’t sound great to me. The blue is just regular buttered popcorn, but with blue. The kids insist it has a flavor, but I don’t believe it!
That's so funny... I don't think the regular popcorn was blue when I was there. I asked if the "fancy" popcorn qualified for the bucket refill price and they said no only the regular buttered popcorn - but it was the normal color - or at least I think it was... lol
Day 10, December 18th
So we reached our final day....
We finished packing up our room and got all our luggage down to bell services.
While we were packing our stuff, we found one of our treats that needed to be consumed that morning because it was a refrigerated treat and would not survive the trip back to NY as cookies would. Julia and I enjoyed our "healthy" breakfast.
I stopped in the food court to get some coffee.
Then we said our goodbyes to Lady & Tramp made our way to the Skyliner.
So we reached our final day....

Hope wants so badly to ride the Monsters Inc Skyliner! One day...
We made our way to EPCOT for one last hurrah at the Festival of the Holidays. This has become my absolutely FAVORITE of the Festivals!!
We entered International Gateway and began our journey through the countries. Yet we weren't stopping just yet, as we had a LL for another planet...

Oh..... I forgot one thing that happened in the AM... Mousekeeping kept trying to get into our room. 3 times, they opened our door and attempted to enter. They seem perplexed as why we were still in the room! They looked at us as though we were squatters! lol Apparently, it was because of the same issue that had us locked out of our room the night before. The glitch was still in their system and Mousekeeping didn't get the memo.
I had purchased a LL for GoG because I wasn't sure that we would get a VQ in time for our departure. I had purchased it the day before and I was happy that I got an 11am return time. Ross wanted no part in payong for a ride to Xandar, so he waited outside while the girls and I entered the LL.
Unfortunatley, it wasn't such a LL. We got up to the ramp right before the forst pre-show room and the line just stopped! I realized it wasn't just a "normal" slow line. Something must have happened.... I considered leaving the line because Hope was getting upset. I didn't want her to have a meltdown, but I also realized at this point, it would be hard to escape. So Julia and I did our best to keep her together, which thankfully, we did.
It took us about an hour to get to the loading room. When we got there, it was completely empty. They must have stopped the line with our group and cleared out the entire ride! It was so werd. It worked out in our favor because Hope was starting to become a mess, but when she saw the emptiness of the loading area, it enthralled her! Phew!! Crisis avoided and we got mt favorite song... I Ran!

And no... we did not eat all the cookies. Julia and stored most of them in our popcorn bucket since the holiday cookie tin was SOLD OUT!!
This was another dish Hope enjoyed... she can be very serious about food! lol

It was all delicious. It was my second favorite booth... Mexico was my number 1.
France was Hope's favorite and she requested her most favorite treat...
Since we were in France, we said hi to Remy.

I stopped to get another one of my favorites - a peppermint macaroon. YUM!!
Our VQ for GoG was called, but unfortunately, it was down. Our time was getting short, so we knew we wouldn't be able to ride it. Hope was sad, but I was able to get a return time for Frozen, so we went for a short journey to Arendelle.
And that's when we got a very unexpected surprise!

As we were exiting the ride, who did we run into.. Paging Mr. Morrow! Hope's favorite YouTuber!
He was so kind to her! Stopping to chat with us a few minutes and she requested to be in his video ("Make me famous!"). - so he filmed her for a few seconds. (She didn't make his final cut though. lol).
As we were leaving, I started to think how strange it was that Nate (Paging Mr. Morrow) was walking through the exit. When watching his videos, he always seems to enter the normal way. It would remain a mystery until that particular video came out.
As I watched the video, I was shocked to learn that he was meeting NPH to ride Frozen with him!!! I suppose that's why he was entering through the exit, since it was prearranged! I have to wonder if we all walked right by NPH and didn't even realize it. lol. I am not a NPH fan - not because I don't like him, but because I never really watched any thing he was in except for maybe 10 minutes of Doogie Howser way back when. So I doubt I would even recognize him. lol
Before we began our departure, we rode Donald's ride.
I couldn't just walk through Mexico without one of these...
There may have also been a margarita.. but who knows?

Then called our Lyft to take us back to MCO.
We got there in time to grab some drinks for the flight home and use the restrooms. Julia wanted to pick up a snack in case she got hungry. As I was paying, I saw the cafe had this...
I guess I was still in the Mexico mood, so I i bought it for the flight home. About 20 minutes into our flight, I opened it up and saw this...
Needless to say, it went right into the garbage! lol
Our flight was thankfully uneventful and soon we were back to a very cold NY and a very stressful life. It was an amazing trip! I'm not sure when I will be able to visit WDW again during the Christmas season, but I'm so thankful we got to enjoy it this past year.
