A trip report at Coronado Springs

Sorry a little late. I went to the world from the 13th-19th and stayed at Coronado Springs for the first time. This was the only moderate I had not stayed at. First off there was four 18 year olds. We all loved it, but if I had to chose between CSR and CBR, which a lot of people have asked lately, I would chose CBR for a family. CSR was beautiful, the grounds were well kept, the pool was nice, but I do not think as kid friendly. My two negatives were the bus system and the 10 percent service charge at the peppert market (food Court). I do not like the 10 percent service charge and how a waittress has to fill up your drinks, which then requires a tip. My question is how is the bus system taking care of? Is each resort responsible for there own or?
But anyways I did love CSR I stayed in the Rancho section, not my first choice, but it was amazing. They are the renovated rooms with queen beds and new furniture. Ill try to post pictures soon.
The crowds in the parks were not bad at all. I surprisingly LOVED the new american Idol attraction, even though I truthfully hate american idol. The parks looked great. MK is still missing Space so there really was no need to spend a ton of time in tomorrowland. Oh and I finally found all of the hidden mickeys on splash mountain that are listed in the book and celebration mag. It took me awhile, but I am very proud of myself haha.
Food wise I tried some new places. Mama Melrose, which we all loved. The service and food was great my only negativity is the amount of options there are. Also ate at T-rex for the first time. It was alright. You pay a lot extra for the theme, but is deffinately very family orientated. Also ate In Italy and Loved it.
This is my quick overview Ill try to add pictures and more as they come. :)

Sounds like you had a good time. I always wondered how Coronado is, its actually one my husband and I debate on every now and then. But I am glad you had a good time.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay at the CSR. I'm surprised by the buses to be truthful. Everyone I've ever talked to who has stayed there has indicated the buses are some of the best (with close pick ups at the parks). They also indicated that they never had trouble going to the parks with the CSR buses either. But this can happen at any resort--bad bus service.

The CSR is the only moderate we've stayed at and probably the only one we ever will (unless we try POFQ because the CSR is not available). Again...glad you enjoyed your stay.
