Once upon a time there was a 15 year old little boy who dreamed of returning to Disney. When everything seemed hopeless he discovered his parents decided to take him to Paris to the heart of Disney, the Disneyland Hotel. Oh boy,was he thrilled, only to discover early Monday morning that the Disneyland Hotel was full in the middle of September. :brick:
Oh well, the boy decided the Hotel New York also seems like a great option! His mom called the travel agent so she could book us the hotel. A day later the boy was yet again let down as this one was also full... His third option, Sequoia Lodge, was also full. :( Sad hu?

Eventually he tried his luck at the Newport Bay hotel only to find out all standard rooms were booked. Well what do you know? Only good came out of this! He booked a room facing the lake! Boy was he thrilled! Now he's curious as to what others think about this hotel. To this day he's gathering information.

The End.

In short, what would you recommend during a five day visit to Disneyland Paris? Anything unique would be great! Also, how is the hotel? I've heard great reviews. I'd love to hear your opinion!

Also, it's nice to know hotels are at full occupancy at a time like this! :D

We stayed at the Newport 2 years ago for 5 days / 4 nights. Just enough time - another day would have been great! We were so impressed with the hotel, although it is one of the biggest in Europe and the corridors can look the same, so don`t get lost between the lifts and your room! The design is so nice, the CM`s really helpfull, and the 10min walk to the parks is just SO nice. If it rains, or you are tired, get the shuttle bus. Its regular, free and they have brand new busses (just be ready to queue at park closing - like in WDW)

Ask about breakfasts at the hotel if you want to eat here. When they built the Newport, they assumed people would eat in the parks, which they don`t, so breakfast is split into sitting times between the 2 (very nice and well themed) resteraunts and the adjoining convention centre (also very nice)

Some nice memories I have are sitting in the lounge off the lobby, in a big chair next to a roaring fire (even in July) looking out through the huge picture windows at the lake and lighthouse - really nautical. Also having a drink in the bar at night, again looking at the lake and all its twinkling lights and Hotel New York.

The nautical theming is excellent... it couldn`t be done better. You can tell they went all out in phase 1 of DLP - this is matched by the Disneyland park (MK) as you have probably read. If you do walk back at night, you walk through Disney Village - this can get very crowded so stick together!

The shop just off the lobby has lots of merchendise - sometimes sold out items in the parks - so have a look in here (its easier than carrying items from the parks - I don`t recall if they have a package transfer system, I`m sure they must) and also toiletries etc. If you have no car, there is a regular coach from the airport, but its a bit long winded (we got on at Terminal 1 , then it went to pick up at Terminal 2, then dropped off at the Santa Fe and Cheyenne in turn) but it does the job. If you arrive before check in, and if you check out early before your flight, the luggage room outside, to the right of the lobby) will hold your bags for you.

Anymore questions, just PM me! And let us know how much you enjoy it.
