A Spring Break to Remember! 5 days of Magic!

Well I just got back last night from what was an amazing trip. I'm really sad now though because I never know when I'll be back but me and my friend(Renee)made a pact to come back after senior year. Anyways...

It was me(15), my friend Renee(almost 15), my mom Margaret, and my dad Bill. We stayed at CBR and it was amazing, very colorful and relaxing. I've stayed here before but it was when I was too little to really remember and I'm really glad I got to stay here again. First day will be up soon.

After two tests, a movie, and boring classes it is finally time to head home pack up my stuff and leave for the airport. We picked up Renee around 3:30 and went to Columbus Internatinal Airport to catch a 5:35 flight to Memphis. We landed got some Corky's Barbeque(anyone who hasn't been to Memphis, TN and hasn't had barbeque there hasn't had great barbeque IMO:lol: ). Our flight took off at 6:25 and our next flight left at 7:25(Memphis time) and arrived at Orlando International at 10:15pm Orlando/Disney time. My mom had come up from Longboat Key near Sarasota where she had been all week and had gotten our rooms in Aruba building 54. They were nice rooms with plenty of space and our walking distances weren't bad. We settled in and fell asleep around 1 am. The true Day one coming soon...

March 19 Day 1(first real vacation day)

Well imagine me getting over excited:lol: and waking up at 6 am:rolleyes: . Oh well I put on some shorts and a hoodie and set out to explore before Renee woke up. It was gorgeous out. The sun was just coming up over Old Port Royale and I could see all the buildings colors in the sky, truely breathtaking. I walked over the island in hopes that OPR was open but no such luck. I saw the main pool and it was so cute. I then started back to my hotel room. There were a few people out but I never would have thought that 2 of the people I saw would be the hunks we giggled about all week(we called them the Jamaica Boys). It turned into the buggest joke of the trip( and I couldn't leave it out of the trip report). I didn't get a great look at them that morning but they were running early and I said Good Morning like I had to everyone I passed and smiled. I got back to the room it was about 6:20 and I hopped in the shower and Renee woke up with the alarm at 6:30. We said goodbye to my parents got some bagels and left our room about 7:15 and walked over to OPR to get some souvenirs and film and catch the bus from there.

Guess where we went first... just take a guess... no takers? We went to Magic Kingdom! Surprise surprise:lol: . We got on the bus at about 8:00 am and were there by 8:20. Now let me just say this now I have never seen a park opening in all my trips to WDW. This was the first time I have ever seen the train pull up with all the characters and be greated by the Main St. population. It was truely magical and brought a tear to my eye. Well the ropes are down and we headed off to Fronteirland. We pretty much walked on BTMRR and then had a 10 minute wait for Splash Mnt. Always gotta love thse rides. We then headed over to the Haunted Mansion becasue I was DYING to ride it:lol: .We then back tracked all the way to Adventureland and rode PotC and Jungle Cruise wasn't open yet so we grabbed some Fast Passes and Tiki Room then went back used the Fast Passes. We then went overto Fantasyland and did Philaharmagic which was amazing I felt weird though because I wanted to touch the stuff in front of meit was such a weird sensation. We then rode Snow White and then we waited for my parents to meet us(insert Jeopardy song now). After 20 minutes of lookng in shops and waiting I decide to call them and guess where they are right behind us on the Carousel. they get off and we all head to the Castle for our PS at Cindy's Royal Table. We get our pictures taken with Cinderella got her autograph andgot a picture of the mice up in the rafters and sat down and waited. It was a good lunch and we got a window seat it was pretty cool.

We then departed the parents and rode the Tea Cups and used our Peter Pan Fast Passes we had already gotten. We were really tired at this point so we headed back to CBR and did some pool and then layed out on the beach.We went back to the room freshened up and got back to went to OPR for dinner and got mugs and went to MK around 6pm and took the train to Toon Town where we went through the houses and saw Mickey and Pluto we then went and rode Buzz and CP(gotta love it) and rode the TTA, we were going to ride Space Mnt. but the wait was to long and we were meeting our parents for Wishes.

Wishes was AMAZING!! I loved it and so did everyone around me. it was truely amazing and awesome. Everything seemed perfectly timed but my favorite part was when they filled the sky with gold and it looked like pixie dust. We also had a great viewing spot right in the middle at the beginning of Main St.

We then went and rode Dumbo and hurried over to Splash becasue some people had given us fast Passes before Wishes. When we got off Splash Spectomagic was about to come our way so we parked ourselves down and watched it. I haven't seen the full parade in a long time and it was really neatbut I remember the Bald Mountain guy being in it or am I thinking of something else? We then were beckoned by the Bakery's aroma and grabbed a pastry I had a Cheese Danish and Renee had a chocolate chip muffin. We then looked around the glass chop and started strolling leisurely down Main St. We casught the bus to CBR and got home around 11:00 and fell asleep about 12. It was a great day. Day 2 coming up...

March 20 Day 2

Well it time to go to get to Early entry for MGM. We get up grab a bagel and head over to Port Royale to look around and fill up our mugs. We then head on a bus to MGM and set out for ToT. I have never done this ride before and let me just say it was so cool. The ride itself wasn't that bad but the whole theming and ambiance of the place was enough to freak anyone out. We then headed over to RnRC another ride I had never doen but chickened out at the alst minute becasue I was completely feakin out. We then grabbed some Fast passes so I or my dad could ride it with Renee later because she really wanted to ride it. We then headed over to Star Tours and after a short wait we rode and enjoyed that. We then went to Muppet Vision and that is such a cute show it freaked me out when I was little but I love it now. We saw Miss Piggy and Kermit and then headed over to Millionaire Play It and waited(again insert Jeopardy song) and waited and finally I called and my dad said my mom wasn't feeling good and that he'd meet up with us a little later. So we headed over to the Voyage of the Little Mermaid and a show wasint 45 minutes so we passed and went to the Animation tour and saw Lilo and Stitch and went on the "tour". It isn't a tour and it completely stinks now that the animators are gone. The beginning movie with Mushu was cute but I liked the old one better.

My dad called saying he was back at the park and we told him to meet us at RnRC so that he and renee could ride it(hey there's always next time). We then headed over to Millionaire and PLay that and my dad came in 5th Whoo Hoo!:sohappy: We then started looking for somewhere to eat and ran into a bunck of character at the courtyard and me and Renee decided to call it a day and go back to CBR for lunch and swimming.

We got off at OPR and ate lunch then walked over to our room changed and went and took a nap on the beach. It was really windy so we ened up going back to the rrom to get some clothes then headed back out. We ended up spending the next half hour taking them off and on and finally gave up and went to the room to get ready to go back for the 7:30 Fantasmic.

We got there arounf 5:45 in hopes to ride ToT again but the wait was long and we told my parents we'd meet them at 6:30 so we got some more autographs and looked in some stores. Finally my mom called and said she had seats and we met her and my dad there. They were really good seat (Section Scar row M) but the pole was a little in the way. I hadn't seen this show for a long time and I didn't remember being that scary for kids. Oh well we started back to the bus stop right behind these really hot guys and ended up waiting in line behind them for the bus. We then saw that they got off at Jamaica and yes these were our Jamaica boys. Hmmm... We got back to the room and... got ready again to go out this time we put on our sundresses and went to the california grill for a lovely dinner. We got to watch the Water Pagent and got to the hotel around 12 completely pooped and fell asleep. Day 3 coming...

March 21 Day 3

Today we decided to "sleep in". I don't sleep in very well and ened up waking up at 8am and took my shower. We decided to have a hot breakfst today so we went to OPR and ate Miskey Waffles and guess who we saw there... the Jamaica boys. Hmmm... We finished breakfast and headed to the bus stop to get to Epcot. We got in and went to TT and the wait waaas already long so we grabbed fast passes and went to Innoventinos and did some shopping becasue my parents were on there way over. We met them at Imagination and rode that and played around in Image Works for awhile we then headed over to the Living Seas to sheck out the Nemo enhancements becasue me and Renee both loved the movie. It was really cute and we looked at the fish for awhile and skipped the movie. It was then about time for our TT FP's so we headed back over there and rode that then picked up FPs for M:S. We got a pretzel and then headed into Innoventions and played around some more and we got 4 and 5 in the IBM racing game thing. We then met my dad over at M:S around 2:30 for lift off:lol: . Wow this is sucha cool ride. I felt my face being pulled back and the first time I was the commander and had to push the first button and I was afraid I wouldn't reach it becasue the force was so strong. Very cool ride! two BIG thumbs up!

We then departed my parents and went to world showcase starting at Mexico. We met a really nice CM there and he took our picture and we took his it was really fun! Rode El Rio del Tiepo you just gotta love this ride it's so cheesy. We then continued around and rode Maelstrom which wasn't very fun becasue there was a really obnoxious guy sitting behind us. Oh well skipped the movie and continued around didn't see andy of the movies but we went in the shops and Renee got a really cool Beatles shirt in Great Britain. We also started doing some major penny collecting but why doesn't China, Japan, and France not have Penny machines? The rest do. Oh well. we finished World Showcase and decided to go over to TT and M:S again but the wait for TT was insane so we rode M:S again and did the game afterward and got to be controllers. Our team did not win but the Booster person was the cutest little boy from England.

Afterwards we went and rode Spaceship Earth(when did they add the lights in the beginning? I don't really remember them and AT&T is still mentioned everywhere but no Global Neighborhood). We then tried to go over to the Land but it was closed so we headed over to Maelstrom where we met my dad and rode that again and this time no obnoxious guy sitting behind us. We got dinner in China and then found a spot for Illuminations. I LOVE this show I think it really is my favorite night time show on Disney Property. After that we went back tot he hotel and went to bed. Day 4 coming soon!

MArch 22(2 months until I get my Temps for driving) Day 4

Today we went to AK. We "slept in" which means I woke up at 7:30 and showered and dressed and we went over to OPR grabbed a pastry from the Grab and Go place and sat down hoping to see the Jamaica boys again(Jeopardy song again). No sign of them I guess we should get going wait there in line. We walk past them while leaving. Get on a bus and head to AK.

We get there around 9:45 and meet my dad at ITTBAB( think I saw you, ISTCrew with Tiffany I think). We met my dad and went over to Dinosaur. THis is a really cool ride and in the picture I have the exact same expression as the 7 year old girl sitting infront of me:lol: . We then went and rode Primeval Whirl and then decided it was time for some lunch but first we wanted to get fast passes for Kilimanjaro Safari so we took the long way back so that I could get a glimpse of Everest Construction and the crane was moving around and then we wen back over to where we were meeting my dad.

We ate lunch then he decided to go and we stayed for our fast passes. We went and saw ITTBAB which still kinda freaks me out(the last time I saw it I was like a 4th grader and freaked out and started crying) and the stingers in your back really hurt. We then went and rode Dinosaur again and I was a little me relaxed this time. We then headed over to KS and we were early so we grabbed an ice cream and parked ourselves down. Finally we rode it and got out of there to relax in the room becasue there was a really strong breeze and left again around 6 to Downtown Disney.

The bus ride there was so much fun though becasue there was this little girl who lives really close to us and we had tickle fights the whole way down. At the end we got the fathers card and he told us to call him if we wanted to babysit her some time. Score and we had just been saying we needed a babysitting job.:D It was a zoo down ther we spent about and hour in the World of Disney and then went into Basin which smelled so good.We then got some hot drinks at Ghirdelli becasue A)it smelled so good and B) we were really cold. We then strolled over to Legoland and looked around then decided to call it a night. While waiting for the bus I finallly felt the magic and relaxation of disney the days had seemed to good to be real but now I felt at home. We got on the bus and headed back.

On the bus ride back about half way through renee nudges me and tells me there is this guy that keeps looking back who isn't being discrete about looking at us. We laugh about it and guess where he gets off.. Jamaica imagine. And guess who gets on and sits right behind us... none other than the Jamaica boys. Hmm... we both freeze and start talking to eachother and hurry off the bus at the Aruba stop. We then continue to spend the next 15 minutes in the room imagining all the things we should have done and could have done the most obvious was say on the bus and get off with them or make some kind of conversaton with them. Augh. We can't really sleep now so we walk over to Port Royale and lookk around a bit. We then walk back, call it a night, and go to bed. It was fun though.:lol: Day 5 coming up.

March 23 Day 5(our last day:cry: )

We got up at 6 and packed up and walked over to OPR becasue my dad was going to stick around a bit and check out. We weren't really hungry and I was feeling a but nauseau but guess who we see running in the morning... the Jamaica Boys. We get over there and sit down for a long breakfast becasue we were hoping they would come but they didn't so we left for MGM and EE. We get there before it really opened so we went into a shop and looked around I fgured everyone would go to ToT first so we headed over to Star Tours first hoping it would clear up in a half hour. No such luck by the time we get there it's a 60 minute wait so we decide to skip it and leave for MK.

We decide to take the longer way so we can go on the Monorails and get to Mk at 9:15 and head to Space Mnt. to get Fast passes. We then go to the Tea Cups and ride that. Thenit's over to Fronteirland where BTMRR and Splash both have the same wait but we had been on Splash twice already so we went on BTMRR(gotta love this one). We then went and used our Space FP's and I rode that for the first time. It was so mush fun! I can't beleived I've chickened out of it all these years. We then went on HM and then tried to go on PotC but it was a long wait so we opted out. We waitd for my dad and met him over ther where we told him we had Pooh FP and he said he was going to try to go on Splash and he'd meet us at Pooh. I love Pooh it is just so cute and fun. By the time we got off it was a zoo so we went back to the hotel for lunch and hanging out. We get there and guess who else decided to come back for lunch... the Jamaica Boys. we find a table with a good view and eat a good lunch. They let before we did but when we went out to the pool guess who was there I don't even have to say it. I have never wanted my bathing suit so bad in my life. We find a seat on the patio and sit there for awhile. The people around us started feeding the birds so we decided to go sit in the pool area and see if we can find them. No such luck but before we left we went around the pool one more time no sight of them and guess where they were playing beach volleyball. Augh I wanted to die right there and it made leaving that much harder becasue we never got to talk to them. Oh well. Our flight was good and we got home safe and sound.

Conclusion

It was a GREAT trip and I loved all the new rides and all the ones I had just never done before. CBR was gorgeous and I hope I can stay there agian. I aslo have to muster up my courage for going on RnRC for my next trip which is sometime in the future.

We collected 22 pennies and took tons of pictures.

We had a bus driver that sadi the monorail was suppose to go through the Swan and dolphin but I thought we said that was a rumor is he right or am I? He also gave us some fun facts like there is 260 buses in the disney fleet and that we should appoint him CEO becasue his name is Michael too and we'd just have to change the lat name on everything:lol: EVeryone vote Michael the buss driver for CEO!:sohappy: :lol:

Katherine, it sounds like you had a really good trip, and left wanting more - perfect. Maybe you will catch up with those Jamaica boys someday.

Very nice trip report. Enjoyed reading it. And trust me, this is the way of the universe, as much as you wanted to talk to the Jamaica boys, they probably really wanted to talk to you and your friend too.:D
