Trip Report A Salute to All Nations, but Mostly America

Hey everyone! @blgauger and I are about to begin our Memorial Day tour of Walt Disney World, and since she is behind on her own report (;)) I'm taking over the reporting for the day (and maybe longer, you never know)
For those of you who don't know me, I'm Brooke. Brittany and I met through this forum when we found out we would be teaching together, and now we hang out at Disney whenever we aren't at school. We've got lots of Disney adventures planned this summer (including a BTMRR challenge with @Tuvalu and @Longers ) so stay tuned!

Wait times are crazy today (100 minutes for Dinosaur? No thank you) so we aren’t getting too many attractions in. One thing we did get to cross off our list is Dino-Chipmunks.
Oh. My. Goodness. If you haven’t seen them yet, get ready for the cutest thing ever.

Could they be any cuter? They were dancing to the music and goofing around with all the guests. The other characters in their Dino costumes were adorable as well, but we didn’t wait for any of them today.

Next up was lunch for Brittany from Flame Tree

Now we are en route to Epcot!

We had 4 goals going into Epcot: 1. Brittany needed to finish her festival passport 2. Voices of Liberty 3. American Adventure and 4. A picture in front of the flower beds. We started with a picture before heading to Honey Bee-stro. Britt got the cobbler freeze, I had the roasted cauliflower. This was my favorite non-dessert at the festival, and the 2nd time I had it.

Then we both had the tropical freeze from La Isla Fresca

We continued our Salute to All Nations as we continued towards America. We arrived just in time for the Voices of Liberty before continuing in to the American Adventure

After the American Adventure (is the song stuck in your head yet?) we grabbed a few last snacks as we searched for merch in our size. Spoiler alert: the shirts Brittany wanted were sold out, much like the Orange Bird Tervis I was wanting.

Duck gnocchi from France

Sangria from Mexico- so good, but so strong!

We caught the monorail and are now in Magic Kingdom!

Magic Kingdom seemed empty compared to the crowds at the other 3 parks today. No lines at all at the turnstiles, so we were in quickly and headed to Liberty Square. We hung out on the rocking chairs while we waited for Great Moments in History (but just the American parts)

We got to see a new (to us) Muppet show- Paul Revere, then went in to Hall of Presidents

We rode Haunted Mansion, then I had a caprese flatbread from Pinocchio Village. We went looking for a hat we saw earlier with Pascal on it, and found it in the shop next to Philharmagic. We resisted the urge to buy it, but will we be back?

We headed for Frontierland. Brittany wanted a corndog, I needed to swap out my FuelRod, and we had a FP+ to use.

@Longers and @Tuvalu have a contest going on to see how many times they can ride BTMRR this year. Brittany and I wanted to join in, but to level the playing field a little we’re keeping track of rides during our summer vacation 😊

(This was ride 2 of the summer, @blgauger just hasn’t posted our first one yet)

We also picked up our super cute Donald AP magnets while at HS! :inlove:

The construction all over property is just awful... so awful that I somehow managed to drive all the way off property before getting turned around and headed in the right direction hopping from AK to the TTC. :cautious:

Don't forget the screaming pre-teens we had the pleasure of riding BTMRR with. I mean.... blood curdling SCREAMS. It was all in good fun, but after cresting the first hill I looked at Brooke and said "I'm not sure which sound made my ears hurt more: the train climbing the tracks or the screaming." :banghead:

While waiting to get on BTMRR, we decided we needed the hats. I mean, the Florida sun is hot, we need to protect our faces, right? ;)

Also, Pascal is adorable. Dylan maaaay have made fun of us a little for our matching hats during our teacher work day today.

We stopped in and met Mickey. Now that he has lost his voice, the wait is a lot shorter :D

Then we found a spot for Happily Ever After, which happened to be right behind a family who insisted on filming all of the show on multiple devices. It bothers me so much when people watch the entire show through their phones. I understand taking a picture of two, or posting a quick video to social media, but filming the entire show is so unnecessary. You miss out on a magical experience, and you can find a much better quality video on YouTube. That being said, the one picture I took isn’t even worth of being posted :banghead:

We headed out of the park, 12 hours and 4 parks later. But not before stopping to grab some buttons for Brittany’s wedding

I do not regret the hat purchase. Pascal is the CUTEST and it’s actually pretty comfortable!

My feet/legs are still recovering. I am so out of Disney shape it’s not even funny. Definitely have to remedy that. 😏
