My Defunct Disney World Park Days

I would start the day with a Main Street Bakery cinnamon roll and a ride on the Skyway and Swan Boats then make a trip through the Rainbow Tunnel after a ride on Snow White's Scary Adventure and World of Motion before playing Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure. Then watching the Stars and Motor Cars Parade and grabbing a steak sandwich in Adventureland Veranda before heading back to Pop Century Legendary Years, the resort attached to this park, for a dip at River Country, a ride on the Ft. Wilderness Railroad, and a tour through Discovery Island before heading back to watch Tarzan Rocks. I'll get my picture with Lucky the Dinosaur and one of Luxo then a ride on the TTA, I love hearing the whole spiel especially "Now entering Space Mountain". Next a ride on the Discovery River Boats, a trip to Tom Sawyer Island to find a paintbrush and ice cream at Aunt Polly's. Then off to see The Country Bears Christmas show and touring Toontown before grabbing an Itzakadoozie on the way to grab my spot for SpectroMagic and Sorcery in the Sky, ending the evening in the Adventurer's Club and I won't have to worry because the night EMH is three hours long and the monorail runs up to two hours after park closing. Tomorrow we will be back for the Pirate & Princess Party.

There will soon be an addition to this park called Camp Minnie Mickey featuring the Jammin' Jungle Parade, a show called Pocahontas and Her Forest Friends and a restaurant called Backlot Express in the never built Beastly Kingdomme. Too bad Avatarland can't be built here. This park will also soon be getting a Fastpass System with no daily limit. Wow, that's my time at Defunct Disney World Park. It should have a defunct name. How about the new Disney MGM Studios.

I would start at the origional Journey into Imagination or Horizons depending which one I get to first, ride 20,000 leauges under the sea for the first time ever, Mr Toads wild ride, catch Roder Rabbits Partygras parade, World of Motion, have some fun in Wonders of life, go to Toontown, pay a visit to Natures Wonderland, Delta Dreamflight, Journey to the Moon, if you had wings, see Spectromagic once again, Illuminations 25, the second run of Spectromagic then end the night with Journey and Horizons as many tmes as I can get on.

While not an overly popular attraction...I'd ride Mission to Mars first...just so the kids could see what mommy's first ride was on her first trip to WDW. Of course, I wonder how it would all work since I believe that space became Alien Encounter- i.e. could they have both if one became the other? Similar question for If You Had Wings and Delta Dreamflight.

Beyond that, I'd like them to know the torture of seeing that pretty blue water at 20K on a hot sunny day and settling for the sub dripping a little bit on you during the ride as your refreshment.

Then there's the obvious things like WoM, Horizons, original Imagination and ImageWorks (my beloved Rainbow Corridor :(), Skyway, and Mr. Toad- although, I think he'll probably freak them out a bit. Not sure if there'd be any way to experience the original Seabase Alpha in this proposed idea, but that would be nice. Not a fan of Body Wars, but I could see the kids enjoying it ... so we could toss that in. I think the kids would also like to return to Toontown. And there was a version of Illuminations from the late 80s that I'd also like to see and well as the 1985 show ... long story short, dad didn't want to deal with the end of night crowds... so we settled for whatever we could see from our balcony. Oh- last thing...80s version of MSEP :)

What if this park had the extinct attractions from the other Disneylands?

In that case I would start with Tomorrowland and ride Body Wars, Adventures in Inner Space, Horizons, and Timekeeper. Sad I never got to ride experience those four.

Great thread. Wish we could get these back...

Mr. Toad
If You Had Wings
Alien Encounter
Timekeeper
Original Snow White
Skyway
SSE with Jeremy Irons narration version
Wonders of Life
World of Motion
Horizons
Original Imagination
Kitchen Kaberet
Original animation attracion at studios (with artists)
Art of Disney in castle location
Tapestry of Nations

And then, the restaurants for that park: Bonfamille's, Odyssey, and (my absolute all-time favorite) Concourse Steakhouse.

Definitely Horizons. My husband and I comment on each trip how much we miss it. I would also like to add a water park section and include River Country. I only got to go once but I just loved the old swimming hole feel. It wasn't too high tech but that's what made it so enjoyable.

Main Street Arcade. "Best Time of Your Life" from COP. Main Street Magic Shop. The Pirate Ride without Jack Sparrow ( just for the memories.) I liked the Tomorrow Land that looked more like 70's Land. Less crowds. Spontaneous character moments. Lots and lots and lots of balloons.

The idea that maybe one day, when I grew up, I would have this great boyfriend who loved Disney as much as me and he would marry me at Disney! And he would actually want to go there a lot. That was before Disney did weddings.

Disney rides function as part of a whole. The land gives meaning to the ride, and the ride to the land. That is, it is fun to do the Mike Fink Keelboats on the Rivers of America, but not on the canal near the industrial zone down the road.

That said, I would give my left arm to ride Toad, Horizons, If You Had Wings again. WoM and Imagination too. And 20k and Universe of Energy. Gah, all of them!!
Oh..,I loved the Mike Fink Keelboats. So keel!
