A new Toontown for WDW, Part 2 (open brainstorming)

We could do like what RandySavage thought of for the addition of Discovery Bay: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kJHWUJv9unE/TsQNQGKJRyI/AAAAAAAAAZM/_uLCl6lsvgU/s1600/Blog+-+MK+Wonderland.PNG.

Well it would be interesting and a way to use it as a template of where a new toontown could be placed. Also would fit into the idea that we had for an extension of frontierland. I would like to see a new orleans square added to the east shore of rivers of america, the pathway north of it would solve the issue of how it could be accessed.

Here's an idea, one that I've been kicking around for a long, long time. It is to create both a Toontown for the Studios and a Mickeytown for the Magic Kingdom. Mickeytown will be featured in this overhead shot of the expansion of Fantasyland. This is an ideal spot for Mickeytown (I call it Mickeytown so Toontown can play a larger role in the Studios):

The main problem is that there isn't too much room for any large attractions to be built, so much of it is going to have to be augmented, and sadly, the Goofy ride I had in mind as a new version of a Mr. Toad/Roger Rabbit dark ride is going to have to be scrapped. But maybe, just maybe, the MK Drive route can be altered, especially if history is any indication, such as at Disneyland.

Anyway... Now, this may sound like blasphemy, but where attractions are concerned, Mickeytown's should be new variations of attractions now at Toy Story Land in Paris and in Hong Kong. At least rides like these may be able to fit in the space featured above. And I will also include Mickey and Minnie's house. That's right, unlike Disneyland's Toontown or WDW's Toontown Fair, the two mice's homes will now be combined into one, like in the original concept of Mickeyville.

What are your thoughts?

Well there is land that can be used north of the green canal. The firestation is not being used anymore, so there isn't anything in the way. This is a quickie mockup:

This thread is about adding a Toontown/Mickeytown to the Magic Kingdom, not improving the park itself. And we have to be careful with the canal, because you can't move it around or reroute it or otherwise do much with it in any way, shape or form. And how do you know the fire station isn't being used?

i have two ideas for a MK mickeytown. the first would be to make a tunnel from main street to where the tommorowland parking lot is clear that out and maybe if you want some extra room reroute the train a little back to get extra space. back there could be a few homes and meet and greets. but you would sort of want to keep it small so that the other toontown is not a replica the second is the idea to use the expansion space behind fantasyland and make a tunnel to the area and have a full blown toontown instead of two

thoughts?

Unfortunately, the first option would never work, because it's too small for it. And I think the second option with the tunnel could work, but I'm still going with two lands. For the entrance/exit tunnel of Mickeytown in WDW's MK, I'm thinking of doing something like: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_OO7WbmARD08/SeJgu1iG1oI/AAAAAAAAQKo/wIv7zo6FRkc/s1600/ToontownElevation.jpg. The area marked "grocery" could be a little walk-up snack stand, like a piece of fruit on the go. It has apples and oranges, as you can see in the concept art. What are your thoughts?

Well adding tt back to mk would be improving the park. As for the canal, I wasn't going to change its path. Really it would be an added feature and they can finally start skimming it.

The new rcid fire station 3 opened in 2008, at a location west of MK.

If that fire station opened in 2008, wouldn't it still be opened today? Or has that been shut down for any reason?

Anyway, back to Mickeytown, one of the attractions, of course, will be Mickey and Minnie's house. That's right, it's "house", not "houses". The only question there is, what kind of style should it be? Well, here's how the respective houses looked at the former Toontown Fair:

So how can we combine the two design of the two houses into one for the new house of the two mice?

The fire station just north of MK is not being used as a fire station anymore, it looks like they are just using it as a storage area for some trash trucks.

I don't see a reason for disney to use a different style, the whimsical style works with the characters and theme.

I have some ideas for what else to put in Mickeytown, but first, what do you think should be done with Mickey and Minnie's house?
