Oh, I thought Disney World is Your Wold was the castle show for the Tencennial. Can someone tell me what it was.
Disney World is Your World was for the Tencennial but at the Tomorrowland Stage. You discribed it right, and like I said it had a special ending for the Tencennial. After the Tencennial, It stayed for 10 years.

Cinderellabration? That was a horrible show, which is why it did not last very long. It worked better in Tokyo DL than MK. The new Dream along with Mickey show is much better and should be around for a while.

The show is designed for a six year old, not a 40 year old. I don't go to Disney for the show in front of the castle. I do however enjoy watching my kids react to the magic of Disney. My kid loved the show and thats what really matters to me. Based on that, I will say the show was a success.

DAWM is FAAAAR superior to Cinderellabration.

Unfortunately I can't relate too well to shows prior to Cinderellabration (which was coming to an end during my first CP), but I do hear great things about CSC.

Cinderellabration was boring and completely plotless.

Dream Along, which I refer to as Fantasmic Lite on many levels, is great. The show is more upbeat, with a very feel-good ending. I certainly don't hope to see it go anywhere anytime soon.

agreed 100% I was super disappointed when I saw Cinderellabration- it was my first stage show I saw at WDW (and we were on the same CP!)

The show is designed for a six year old, not a 40 year old.

I have to disagree- I know plenty of adults who absolutely love it. Myself being one of them- darn thing brings tears to my eyes everytime! I gotten smart though and always wear sunglasses to avoid the weird looks I get from people

Nope sorry they aren't! They are design for people of all age groups. A successful show is one that appeals to all age groups not just the kids like the current DAWM show. Cinderellabration did appeal to children, because they are mostly just looking at characters dancing and singing on stage. Whereas the adults are looking a little deeper at the storyline and the overall quality of the production which Cinderellabration got a C- at best.

Well if you ask the average Disney guest, not the Disneyfreaks like us, what they expect out of the show in front of the castle I would bet they would not expect much. The show if fluff and filler. It's not like a 3d film or the jamboree which needs to appeal to a broad spectrum of guests. Next time you check out the show see how many people are standing without children. I bet its a low percentage. I never watched the show before I had children and as soon my kids are no longer interested we will blow right by it. I think I am in the majority and not the minority. I am not saying the show shouldn't be of good quality. But I think its designed more for kids than adults. Besides adults tend to be more critical, most kids no matter what the show is will probably enjoy it, and that should be most important factor when creating the show for the front of the castle.

Does no one remember the Kids of the Kingdom show!? That was the best stage show Disney ever did. Dream along with mickey and cinderellabration can never hold up to the awesomeness that "Kids of the Kingdom" was.

Stage Shows with the Kids of the Kingdom were
Best Of Disney, Disney Mania, Dream Along, 15 Years of Magic and Every Day's A Holiday on the Castle stage, and Disney World is Your World in tomorrowland. (That's just the year round shows) The only ones with a Storyline is Dream Along and Every Day's A Holiday. The rest is just Musical Reveue type shows.

All the Kids of the Kingdom shows were awsome but for me Dream Along tops them all. The music comes from Tokyo Disney Resort which makes the best Theme Park Music in the whole Disney Company.

I love Dream Along! But I do see it going away after the Year of a Million Dreams. It has had a good run so far! I look forward to recording it in HD.

I was scared away by the tweeness of Cinderellabration and the Surprise Celebration, and found the Dream Along show a fresh breath. The castle forecourt show shouldn't eliminate half the audience who couldn't care less about princesses being crowned. And I love those articulated heads- they really make all the difference between believing and bemusement. :sohappy:
