a new resource

I don't know if this is allowed, but:

I was a CP in Spring of 2006 and when I was doing all of my research regarding the program, I went to like fifty sites and half-a-dozen forums just to figure out how things were going to be. So, I blogged during my entire stay down there and I recently finished a website detailing, exhaustively, what the program is like (and it's recent, not something from 1998 that's on the web ring that's unintuitive to navigate with annoying background music).

I posted pretty actively on this part of the forum in the Spring (and as you can see, I've been a member here since February 2003), so I'm not a troll trying to get a zillion hits on my site (there aren't ads anyway, so traffic doesn't matter). It's a simple blog format that's easy to read with lots of information that I hope will be helpful. I know while I was searching, I wanted to hear of someone's personal experience, which there didn't seem to be much of.

Such an incredibly helpful read! You answered several of the questions that have been floating around in my mind (Can CM's do EMH? What if we find a wristband?), and got me so incredibly pumped. What you had to say about Custodial was great, since I was hoping for Operations and ended up getting Custodial.

The bit about Club Station Cool/Beverly wasn't very nice though :lol:

Yeah thats some good information to NEVER, EVER try to use a wristband for EMH. When you use a wristband, you are putting the managers in charge of EMH at risk for reprimands and even their jobs. If they catch you, you're terminated on the spot. I've done wristband distribution at EPCOT many times. If I gave a band out to a CM, the CM would be terminated, I would be terminated, and the manager would get a reprimand. They're pretty serious about it.

Holy crap, I just noticed you're from Redmond...me too!

Did the heat in Florida kill you? Because the heat wave we've been having for the last couple of weeks has been awful, and I'm getting a little worried about how I'll handle working outside, 8 hours a day at WDW.

i also just did the Spring 2006 CP and absolutely loved it! I arrived the same day as you too! I worked at the Emporium and had a blast! i miss it sooooo much and plan on going back january 2008 for another CP or a PI!
