The Ladder will in the 5th park. That's all that can be said as of now.
 Only in an effort to keep up with the trend of faster, more thrilling, super intense, it will be renamed Ladder X-treme!

I am not a paying member but do love the site when I need to find out some "unofficial" information. Hopefully as of monday, disney will offer me a job in sales and I will become an official cast member!!!

Good luck with getting your job at Disney! :)

An old rumor...

going back to at least 1990 when I worked in CRO and Eisner announced the Disney Decade. Rumor at that time was focused on #4 and #5. We easily guessed that #4 had to be an animal park. How did we know? IMHO all one has to do is look around Central Flordia at where people are going today instead of Disney. In 1990 it was Busch Gardens Tampa for their Safari. When people were going to Church Street Station Disney built Pleasure Island. When people were going to the Holiday Inn Main Gate East & West Disney built the Carribean Beach Resort. Cruise ships - Disney Cruise Line. Auto Racing - WDW Speedway (oops! - Disney came close to paying the $90M fee to FIA for a F1 race at WDW). In the mid 80's it was the threat of Universal Studios hence Disney MGM Studios. In 1990 rampant rumors were a theme park based on world history, sports, thrills (especially after canning the boardwalk roller coaster), and what eventually became Disney Sea.

So what, out there today, does Disney see as a new market to capture. Isles of Adventure? I think Disney would rather build into existing parks and extend them horizontally rather than build a dedicated thrill park. Are there other area attractions to be imitated? Perhaps Disney Sea. Disney Villans? Disney Heroes, Princesses & Villans?

Yes, there will be a 5th park at Disney! It will include: a Harry Potter attraction, 20K, Horizons, Alien Encounter, Mr. Toad, the Skyway, 5 new countries, a series of Villan attractions, and a "classic" Land Pavilion. It will include a monorail expansion, that has a stop at the edge of property, because there will be a new railway system DIRECTLY from the airport to a new TTC.

what...no sparkling just-like-new wonders of life??

Disney's plans for the fifth park are to compete with Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and Foxwoods while courting Florida's large elderly population. That's right...Disney's Casino Adventure! Imagine the fun of this Pocahontas-themed area as you pull down the white-gloved arm of Mickey's glorious slot machine and win a cupfull of Disney Dollars, while sporting the newest fashion-the Uncle Scrooge emblazoned hot-pink tracksuit! And while Grandma and Grandpa play the slots, the kids get thrown in the "Fun Zone," where they get to watch (from behind 10 inches of glass) Mommy lose their college tuition and an inebriated Daddy flirt with the waitress! I can imagine the thrills already!

Seriously, I hope there is no 5th park, as it can take more than a week to explore what is already at WDW, and the prospect of a longer stay with Disney's prices...:hammer:

Yes...I will remove the holographic materials from over the park and reveal it to the world.

I would doubt we would see a new park any time soon. Since Disney is still recovering from a slow economy, it would not be a wise decision at this time.

I'm amazed reading this thread that there's any confusion about a 5th. Of course it's already built.

Guess everyone has forgotten the soft opening last year of "Hurricane - The Experience".

the ladder extreme ride

The best thing about Ladder X-treme is that it has its own built in height requirements. If you can walk under the ladder, you have the bad luck of not being tall enough to ride it
