I mean come on...i know i know the show was kinda lame, but twister isn't all that good. i kept hearing it was great but in the end i was poking fun at it..."look there's the cow!"-before it came down. i was bigger than the twister itself and you're telling me it picked up a pick up? I think they should reinstate the GB's. not to mention when i went in spet. 2001 they had them riding around on quad's (4-wheelers) with the NEW proton packs from extreme ghostbusters. so, what ideas do you think could go for the boys in grey?

Personally I like Twister, other then the cow which could be awhole lot better lol. I dont see them doing anything for ghostbuster unless theres a ghostbuster3 and it does really well! Most of the studios is outdated and needs some work. I mean I love Universal, jusdt wish they would start updating it moreto more current movies!:)

Well being a big Ghostbusters fan i wish they would bring them back. i loved the first show they had there. The one where tourguide was showing you the haunted set. The GB franchise show was very dumb.
I hate the extreme GB series. Either do it right or not at all. I better see ecto-1 back on the streets or i write a letter to universal. None of this four wheeler crap youre talking about. The third movie was in the works but was held off or completely cancelled. I havent been up to date with it for a while.
And while on the subject i miss the old night time stunt boat show with the miami vice theme playing back when they first opened. Everything was timed real well and it flowed with the music. And dont tell me its dated, Jaws is still around!
Who ya gonna call????:animwink:

that goes for Ghostbusters as well. Ghostbusters: 1984, Jaws: 197-something  , BTTF: 1985. so why are BTTF and Jaws still here and the GB's aren't?! you could a cross betwen spiderman and MIB rides-blast the ghosts and have a little movie scene thing

The answer to your question is because Back to the Future and Jaws are two of the newest attractions in the park (along with T2 & MIB) , while Ghostbursters was one of the first and attendance to that attraction was quite low its last days.

Well actually jaws did open when the park did, but was closed for the next few years. The ride was partially redone and opened again. Unfortunately they shouldn't have redone gb the way they did. It should have been left alone. jaws should have to, i liked some of the old parts better. now they need to fill the old murder she wrote/xena attraction with something better. They also need to make a real backlot tour. where you actually see the real stuff happening! There isnt enough going on there i guess. The tour tram used to run around the backlot and thru the park.

they still need a new GB ride or something...i miss it...if they have them riding around-they need a ride or a show. blues brothers has one. also, not to mention, they had Doc on a bike i know he was on one in the second movie-but where's the delorean?!

Hey i took a date to see starship troopers when it first came out and weve been togther 4 years now. talk about a scary bad movie!
Actually GB had a sing and dance show in the beginning too. they used to sing with beetlejuice in front of the fake buildings at the end of NY street. Now the beetle has his own show. I think it's still around. They should have more characters walking around. My dream job would be to dress like marty mcFly and drive the delorean around all day and take pics with people. To bad you cant make a living on it.:)

Yes, sadly Jaws is perceived as being a newer attraction because it sat closed for so long. The reason it was closed to begin with (and finally changed) was because they could not keep it reliably working in that previous state....

As for the real back lot tour - don't expect to ever see that. The hype over Orlando becoming Hollywood East was just that - hype. Most of Hollywood never wanted anything to do with Florida as a location for working studios at all. Some low budget stuff has been done at both Universal and MGM and there is still the occasional commercial done at Universal but ut aside from some production aid, that's about it. The top talent (both on and off screen) really want nothing to do with FL. Both studios offered huge discounts for companies to film in them so that they could give the park guests something to see (which explains where the low budget stuff came from) but there still have been very few takers. In reality, it's probably just as well. The actual process of making movies and television shows isn't nearly exciting enough to the average park visitor to keep their attention for an entire day, anyway. Also, in the case of Universal which has very limited space, they sound stages could be put to much better use as park attractions rather than actual production stages.

I think that even Disney and Universal had a feeling that things weren't going to take off full force. Just look at the back lots. At both parks they talk about how the back lots are used for filming outdoor scenes and such but in reality, back lots have not been used by most major productions for decades unless the script called for something that couldn't actually be filmed on location for reasons of practicality or safety. At Universal on the tour you speak of, they spoke of how Hollywood craftsmen came out and molded the cobble streets of one are out of cement. I used to know one of the guys who ran the company that did that for Universal and for a surprisingly low price, they'll be happy to come out to your location (if you are in central FL) and do a driveway or pool area for you the exact same way.

KONG!!!!

Take the skin off of the kong animatronic and put the skin of the Marshmellow Man. Pump out the smell of marshmellows and use that as a replacement for Kong!!:fork:

The Extreme Ghostbusters and Bettlejuice are back in a show in front of the library set at the end of 57 th street. The new show is titled Extreme Ghostbusters:The Great Fright Way. The Ghostbusters drive up 57th street in good ole Ecto-1 too. There hadn't been a Beetlejuice and Ghostbusters show for some time in the park.

It's a pretty funny show, we were much more entertained by this show than the All New Bettlejuice's Graveyard Revue. But who knows maybe the All New Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue will grow on us.

As for the DeLorean, it's now on permanent display between Back To The Future The Ride, and Back To The Future The Store, it's on a platform and lights up and has reved up sound effects. It also usually shows up in the Bill and Ted show at Halloween Horror Nights each year.

I agree with the people who would like some sort of Ghostbuster Ride, the Kong replacement idea is 1 of the coolest ideas I've heard of to date.

Give me Ghostbusters anytime. I can step outside my own front door and watch it rain without going to Florida.
Twister is a big disappointment.

We've got cows!

The cow in the current TWISTER show is actually a second generation cow. The original cow was a duplicate of a cow which was on display in the que. It was an obviously fake cow, advertising Betsy's Milk - with the respective logo on its side. You could press a red botton on the cow and it would "moo." The Betsy cow was removed from the que, and the twin cow in the show was replaced with a more "realistic" looking cow, and not one with a logo on its side.
