There used to be a pizza place by my house where they made garlic knot pizza - they literally smushed garlic knots around the pie where the crust is and cooked it like that. Insanely good. They are under new ownership now and they pizza is extinct but I was able to get my hands on ONE LAST PIE to share with my friends!!

Sounds amazing, but unfortunately I've apparently developed some kind of allergy to garlic..... crazy gene pool of mine!

It seems to vary. Sometimes the slightest amount will trigger it. It took me quite a while to figure out what it was, but that seems to be the culprit. My dad was allergic to chocolate - at least I didn't inherit that one!
