A little late, but regardless, Aladdin is probably the definition of a strong male lead.

Also, Hercules. Both are strng, not just physically, but also have their morals in place (which is most important)

True, but you rarely see anything with Herc, and generally only see Aladdin with Jas.

I would like to see more strong male stand alone type characters that a boy can look up to like the girls have the princesses. Although I like Jack, sorry, Capt. Jack Sparrow, I wouldnt want my son growing up wanting to be a pirate.

Anyone see the Daily Show clip of one of their correspondents talking about the new black princess? I tried looking for it so I could link to it here, but can't seem to find it anywhere. Anyway the correspondent is black and he's talking about how great it is to finally have a black princess, and that it only took an "arab princess, chinese princess, half-fish princess, and movies about talking cars and whatever the hell stitch is" before they came up with this idea. It was a pretty funny segment on the show.

found the clip, hope this works.

ok, I think if you really want to see it, type in Frog Princess in the search clips box and that should bring it up.

That really is true if you think about it. Why did it take so long for Disney to develop a black princess? I bet there's a lot of little black girls out there wondering why there is no princess who looks like them.

''Disney's making a movie starring a black princess. And we only had to get through a Native American princess, an Arab princess, a Chinese princess, even a half-fish princess. Not to mention the countless cats, dogs, mice, elephants, talking cars, and whatever the hell Stitch was.''
'SENIOR BLACK CORRESPONDENT' LARRY WILMORE, ON THE DAILY SHOW WITH JON STEWART
