A little nervous

Hello!!!

I am a little nervous, as I have just booked a Cabin at Fort Wilderness for my family during Thanksgiving. I thought it would be super cool to have everyone (4 adults and 1 baby) stay in one place. I am just a little nervous, as it will be a TOTALLY different experience than what I am used to.

If you have stayed in a cabin, could you let me know what you thought?

Thanks!!!!!!!

I echo the question of "What specifically is making you nervous?". Have you checked the fabulous Allearsnet web site? Go here for the Fort Wilderness fact sheet. It sounds like you'll be fine with the 4 adults and a baby. But it depends on how you all get along. ;) Make certain to check out the resort slideshow. Plus remember there's tons of activities at FW! Chip and Dale's campfire program, [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]The Hoop Dee Musical Revue, and Mickey's backyard bbq...just to name a few.

I liked my stay at the cabins. We had 6 adults in there and it was great. We were hardly in it during the day, though. We had quick breakfasts every morning, but didn't really cook anything. It was nice to sit and watch TV together without having people lay all over the beds.

Oh dont be!
About 4 years ago my mom had just passed away that year, so we decided to get 2 cabins for our whole family over Christmas Eve & Christmas Day...it was 7 adults...3 kids and 2 babies.
We had the BEST time! We still talk about it all the time and how it was such a wonderful trip! We plan on doing it again soon.

It is very different. But it is more comfortable I think. You feel more at home. And we brought lots of food stuff to munch on and to make a big breakfast Christmas morning. I know this isn't the case at Thanksgiving there but everyone had their cabins decorated, most had fully stocked trees inside and lights hung on the roof and BIG Disney inflatables on the little lawns. It was really special. I am sure people might still decorate for fall there to though. Thanksgiving is probabaly very special there. And great weather on Orlando in late Nov usually too.
And the kids loved the petting zoo area. I hear the Dinner character thing is alot of fun too.
Dont be nervous, you will truly love it!
