A little bit of Magic

We know going to Disney is already a magical experience. Walking down Main Street USA, seeing the Castle, seeing Mickey or that first ride on Dumbo. We all have our little things that make our trips Magical. Disney CM's are a huge part of that Magic. So what has a CM or even another guest done to you that has given you that "Magical Moment"?

Here are a few of mine: On our first trip in March 2009, our son was only 17 months & LOVING every second of Disney. We were in DHS & had stopped to eat lunch at Pizza Planet. The place was getting ready to close & was empty. As we were eating hubby & I noticed a CM walking towards us (my son back was facing him) and he had his hands behind his back. He carefully tip toed next to my son & gave him a Toy Story souvenir cup. My son was really excited & wouldn't let go of the mug the entire meal! It was a very cute & sweet gesture.

Another Magical Moment for us was on our last trip in May 10we were again in DHS. We were getting some popcorn & I asked the CM if she could give me an empty plastic cup so I can split the popcorn for my son instead of giving him a full thing which he would spill & she gave me a full one instead and said "it's on Mickey". I thought that was super nice & was the last thing I expected!

Another was on our Sept. 09 trip we were in MK....we were celebrating our sons 3rd Birthday & since he didn't want to wear his button, I wore it & wrote on it Mikey's 3rd Birthday! We were buying some snacks (Stuffed pretzel, Souvenir cup with soda & some popcorn) & the CM said Happy Birthday to me & I said thanks but that we were there Celebrating my sons 3rd birthday & my sister's first trip to the world. He didn't charge me for any of my snacks...when I refused & kept insisting to pay all he said was To enjoy ourselves & have fun! Again very sweet.

I love when you get a little bit of Pixie Dust unexpectedly....really makes the Magic of Disney come to life.

What are a few of yours?

Thats really something that gives a bit of magic to all Disney vacationers. There has been a lot of magical moments in Disney that I've experienced just little things. Meeting the characters when I had my "1st Visit" button on last year, I had so much attention it was great. Even my trip this past month the CM's really do go out of there way sometimes to make every moment a special one.

On our last trip in 2008 we were picked for Family of the Day at Animal Kingdom. It was great and we felt so special.

On that same trip, I had on my birthday button and I was sitting on a bench people watching while my husband and daughter rode Mission:Space. A girl about who was about 10 walked up to me and told me Happy Birthday. I thought that was the sweetest thing ever.

On a trip in 09 I had gotten my ears peirced the previous year and wanted to buy little mickey earrings! So I bought them, and wore them immediately. Then realized I had lost one during the day when I was trying on clothes at a store in DTD. Went back to find that it wasn't there. So went to a CM at MK and explained the situation (I was upset because it was what I really wanted!) And just wanted one earring not both. And she gave me a whole new coupon to buy a set a new ones! Made my day :) and I made sure that when I got back home I went to buy better backs for them and haven't lost them since!

CM are really great when they do things like this! Back on our first trip I had lost my baby wipes container somewhere between Main Street & Toontown on the train ride. & of course my son had just eaten a lollipop and was STICKY beyond belief & of course still in diapers so I went into one of the stores in Toontown & asked if they sold any...the CM said she was gonna go look & in the meantime two other CM's were playing with my son asking him a bunch of questions. It was a good 10 minutes before the CM came out with her manager & they gave me a coupon to go to the Baby Care Center & get a pack of wipes free of charge! I totally would have paid for them myself....as long as they told me where to get them...so getting them for free was totally unexpected.

The attention you get with buttons is great!

Being picked must have been great!!! Someday I hope to experience that in any park! It would be amazing!

Kids are so cute!!

On a trip a few years ago I was wearing a Winnie the Pooh watch I had bought on a previous trip (about 2 years earlier). The watch stopped as the battery had run out (I had changed one before) so I asked in the World of Disney watch room if they sold batteries for watches, the CM said they didn't and then replaced my watch with a NEW one the same as the one I was wearing!
Totally surprised and well chuffed.

During my honeymoon in 2007, (And my very 1st trip ever to a disney resort), I had a pretty bad allergic reaction. After going to several stores and asking for Benadryl, and having no luck. We stopped at the front desk of our resort (Wilderness Lodge), and asked if they could call a taxi for us. When they asked what the reason was, I explained my situation.

Instead of calling the taxi, they sent a CM with me in a Disney Van to the nearest Hess station. He returned with two forms of Benadryl for me at no charge!! They would not take any money, and simply said that they hoped that I got better. When I said that they did not need to do all of that just for me, the male CM began to sing and dance a little saying "Be...Our...Guest, be our guest, put our service to the test...!"

When we were leaving to go back to TX, we left the rest of the Benadryl on the counter. Three or Four days later, we received a package in the mail from WDW. Inside was our Benadryl, and a note with my name on it stating that I must have forgotten something, and they thought that I may need it again later. The note went on to thank us for spending our honeymoon at WDW, and that they hope to see us again soon.

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I am now making my 6th trip back this October.

Should that be a period at the end or an exclamation point?

It was a joke, a gentle jab, a jest, a jolly gesture of genuine joyous joviality!:ROFLOL: I am using a literary device called alliteration so this won't be a reply without substance.:drevil::lol:
