I know, I know...I just returned from a WDW trip and wrote a trip report about my "Magical" time with my son and girlfriend (Dec 1-4) ....HOWEVER....after pouting and sad faces my girlfriend took me back to WDW for 2 days Dec 18th (this time just the 2 of us). I had so much fun I literally had a HUGE smile painted on my face the entire trip (I have the sore cheeks to prove it).
December 18th
Dropped our son off with grandma and drove 1.5 hours..arriving at Pop Century. This was my first time staying at POP (I was always kinda "iffy" about it..not sure why) As soon as we arrived I noticed that the lines for Disney Transport were well organized and a bit long but that the buses were very timely and constant.
We LOVED the resort check in area...noticed that all the CM's were dressed differently according to the era they represented (I thought that was just so cute) After taking the time to soak it all in and relive the past we headed to Epcot.
W/o the kid..we were able to walk and drink and walk and drink:lol: . We caught the Holidays Around The World shows and did I mention that we walked and drank?
We the caught the boat over to Disney Studios for Evening EMH's. We got there early enough to catch a few favorites and do alittle shopping until our P.S. @ 50'S Prime Time. We got there a bit early and enjoyed DRINKS from Dad's Liquor Cabinet and were called to Dinner.
Cousin George made sure we were well taken care of and made us laugh alot.
I so wanted my girlfriend to get in trouble but it just didnt happen. We shared the Beer Battered Onion Rings and they were just THE BOMB. I had the grilled chicken and Andrea had the fried chicken (HUGE). The food was great and the service was wonderful!
We made our way to Fantasmic and got our usual front row seat. Because of the very chilly weather, wind, and sprinkles of rain...we put on ponchos to enjoy the show...LOVED THE SHOW AS USUAL! Next, we went to see Osbourne Spec. of Lights...we did lots of stopping and took time to notice the little things...BEAUTIFUL.
We ended the night partying at the BIG HAT with the D.J. We danced so hard I think I lost all feeling in my legs. Everyone had the best time! Whether they knew how to dance or not...everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves so much they didnt want the party to end.
We both agreed that we have never had so much fun at MGM as many times as we have gone.
The line for Pop wasnt too bad and we seriously didnt wait that long to get back to the resort. Once there we realized that the parking for certain buildings were so far away from where your room was(unless you were in Pref. Rooms) but what they hay...we were in WDW. We loved the beds and in our opinion they were so much more comfy than the All Star beds and maybe it was just me but the rooms seemed a tad bigger.
December 19
P.S. @ Crystal Palace. Caught a bus to MK and enjoyed our bus ride with a WONDERFUL CM named Sorita'. She was so MAGICAL. We sang Christmas songs all the way to MK and she kept honking the horn and turning on and off the bus lights on certain parts. I thought that she was amazing and thought " what a magical start to our final day"
I had to take a picture with her and will be writing Disney about her ASAP.
The MK crowds were a bit large so we really didnt stay too long. Did a few favorites and strolled around the park. Caught Story Time with Belle and loved it so much. After taking in the Holiday Magic we left MK and made our way home. For a spur of the moment trip we sure had lots of fun! Thank you Andrea for surprising me with this trip and making my life Magical...Love you with all my heart.
Thanks for reading!
