I know this site is composed primarily of us wdw geeks, but I know many of you are Disney history experts.

A friend of mine gave me a Disneyland that was printed in 1964.

this is a link to a picture I found of the same map...

I was very curious about the two sections on the map that branch off of main street labeled "liberty street" and "Edison square".
I've heard a little about Edison square, and I am assuming that liberty street made its way into wdw as liberty square instead.

I would love to hear any information anyone might know about any of this.

thanks!

The theme and concepts of Edison Square metamorphosized into the Carousel of Progess, which of course debuted in 1964 in Queens. Some information exists here.

Liberty Street did indeed become Liberty Square.

Wow that is a cool map, Edison Square and Liberty Street were proposed streets off of main st. In fact a sign went up at one time that said Liberty Street coming soon. There is a section in the Disneyland: Then, Now, and Forever book. I will see if I can find my copy...
