A few questions

We're here at WDW right now, checking out tommorrow morning, and we have been here since April 2. I just have a couple questions based on what I have seen on this trip.

1) What is all the construction behind the bus stops at the Magic Kingdom?

2) At the backlot tour at DHS, they used to start it out by having two or three volunteers from the crowd who would be "actors" shooting the Pearl Harbor Scene. After putting the different shots together, they would show the completed scene on a screen overhead before moving us into the vehicles. They did not do that when we rode. The ride closed at 7 PM and we went in right around 7. Was it just too late in the day to do that scene, or have they done away with it?

1. I don't know. Didn't even notice it.

2. They still do that. Unsure if it is actually audience people or staff pretending to be, but they still do that. Maybe they skipped it because it was the end of the day for the ride?

1. They are expanding/improving the bus area.
2. As far as I know they still do it (and they do use guests). It might have been not done because of the time, temp, or a simple mechanical issue.

The expansion of the Magic Kingdom bus stop area is about to get started - bringing more capacity and "bendy bus" support
2) Yes they still do it.

We had the same issie with the Backlot tour in February. However, it was early in the morning. I just chalked it up to be being too cold for a drenching.

When I initially posted this thread, I thought there was at least one other thing I was wondering, but I could not remember at the time. I think I just remembered it...

This was our 6th time staying on property, and the thought struck me that out of all of our trips, we have never been assigned to the ground floor. Not that I am complaining, I actually prefer to be upstairs for some reason. But even so, I just couldn't help noticing that and wondering if the ground floor might be in the "preferred" category. Perhaps they automatically assign the ground floor to folks over a certain age, or it is reserved for people with disabilities, etc. Or is it just sheer coincidence that we have always been upstairs?

I was on the ground floor during my most recent visit in March. It wasn't preferred, I just ended up there.
