a few Questions re: Fast pass strategy for two parks

Okay, so I've heard recently about the new deal with FPs- that you can get some at one park, and once you have used those, get some more at another park.
1) Correct?
There is the rub, as I have always found it difficult (in any park except MK) to actually use all 3 FPs, so I never have an opportunity to get more. But now that things have changed . . .

Now comes the question background- So we're heading for WDW this weekend, and we want to do DHS when we drive up Sat a.m., leave after lunch for some pool time at the hotel, and then do MK that night. In the pre-new-deal days, I would just set up FPs for MK that night, and just do what we could that morning at DHS. But now, I figured I'd set up FPs for DHS in the morning.

2) At first it looked like it was only letting me choose ONE fp, but I guess that's the new way of doing tiers, right?
Because then I went back and was able to pick more of "other experiences" but now they are set up until 3 PM! No way we are staying at DHS that late. I need my pool time.

3) So the BIG question IS-
3a) If I DON'T use all three FPs at DHS, will i be denied more FPs at MK that night?
3B) and if that's the case, should I go back- erase all the FPs I made that morning- and go back to just having ONE fp at DHS, thus making it complete-able, and then getting my other FPs at MK that night?

Thoughts? Comments? Ideas?

I think you can also go back into your FP selections and adjust the times. For our recent trip, FPs were "assigned" by MDE and were all spaced out throughout the day. I was able to modify FP2 and FP3 times so all three were essentially back-to-back-to-back. 9am Toy Story Midway Mania, 10:35am Tower of Terror, 11:35am Star Tours. We then picked up day-of FPs that evening at MK (FP4 Big Thunder and FP5 Haunted Mansion).
