Hello again everyone
Just a couple more questions but i'm sure more will follow haha:
1.) How often do the CP classes take place? (Every day, every other day?)
2.) How much do you work during the CP? (Like the usual number of hours/days you would work)
Thanks!

Hi disneymagic,

Former CPer and current CM here.

1) The class frequency really depends on which ones and how many you take. I did not take any classes during my CP, but if I remember correctly each class met once a week for three hours. They are seminar style, so are fairly lengthy.

2) I can't lie to you; you do work a lot as a CP. On my program, I had one week at the beginning of my internship and one just before the week of Christmas and New Years that I did NOT work 6 days a week for 6, 8, and occasionally 10 hours a day. However, this is very open...it really depends on where you are located and your role. I was in attractions at Innoventions, and while I was there, they were very understaffed, but not as a whole. Innoventions has 14 seperate attractions, and you have to be trained in each one of them, so some attractions were understaffed and others were not. My best guess is if you get attractions, merchandise, or food & beverage, you can pretty much plan to be working 5 to 6 days a week your entire stay. If you take classes, they will work around your schedule, so you will be working fewer hours, but keep in mind you have the class and you have homework, so that has to fit in with your schedule as well.

Unfortunately, a lot of eager hopefuls go down to Disney thinking its a big party for five months. While its a whole lot of fun and you do get to party, it is a lot like college life, with responsibilities. The best way to prepare you for what its like is to tell you, as I did, exactly what will happen.

I have to say, and EMPHASIZE, this was the BEST decision I have ever made in my life, and I would not give up those five months for anything else in the world.

You're very welcome. I'm sure I or someone else here will be happy to answer any questions you might have. There are hundreds of people closely related to Disney here in the community. Some, a lot more than you could ever imagine. :)

Let me know if you have anymore questions. My soap box is prepped and ready.

Hi there. Feel free to ask questions- that's why we're here.

1) So far both of my classes have been once a week.

2) It depends on both your area and location. Last CP I worked about 35 hours a week. So far this CP I am bringing in about 45-55 hours a week.
