Pre-Trip A Dopey Dream (with some race updates)

Hi everyone. Having been inspired by lots of new trip reports lately, and with only two weeks to go until mine, I’ve decided to take the plunge and share my upcoming holiday with you.

The travelling party this time will be myself Sharon, my husband Darren, our two youngest daughters, Alice 12 and Lexi 10.
We live in the not quite so magical MK, Milton Keynes UK, and try to visit the more magical version at least once a year. We’ve been DVC members since 2006.

This is us on our last visit in February this year, Lexi with me, Alice with Darren.

Thank you. We are although we’ve had to adjust plans a bit to account for my tiredness. But we’ve told the girls about the cruise so they’re so excited and they’re not upset about doing less in the parks.

Half marathon done. Felt very hot and humid to me but managed to stay well hydrated and feel fine afterwards. Definitely have to adjust my expectations for the marathon time tomorrow.

I did it. I ran a marathon. Absolutely brutal heat and humidity today, so nowhere near the time I would have liked. Just pleased to have finished it. Now going to Narcoosee’s for a celebratory dinner, and off cruising tomorrow. Hopefully will be writing a trip report when I get home

Wow! Congratulations - that is one amazing accomplishment - you should be really proud of yourself! I heard conditions today were brutal, so I’m glad you made it thru ok. Enjoy your cruise
