A Disappointing decision

Well, DH and I made a very tough decision today! We decided NOT to go to WDW this year for our anniversary.:( The main motivator being money. Saving up to get a place of our own, instead of being a married couple living with 2 cats, and 2, 20-something confirmed male bachelors. They are great people, but we really need our own space. BUT we will be going in 2005! And are looking forward to an awesome trip. (The only way we'll probably be able to save up for a house AND go this year, is if I get that job I'm auditioning for on the Disney Cruise Line. Here's the hopin!)

Hey thats OK, Youll be goin down to see the mouse next year, and at least by then, most of the new things will be near completion.

If i was placed in your situation I would too.

IMO good choice

I know how you feel. We had to forgo our trip last year because of our wedding. That was so tough, esp. because all of my friends and coworkers (I used to work for TDS) were either coming or going every time I turned around. But I have been planning my fingers to the bone and we are going in Oct. for our 1 year wedding anniversary!!!!!!:sohappy: Can't wait!! I am also going the end of April with some girlfriends of mine for a long weekend without the husbands! Just hang in there and I promise the wait will be worth it!!

We saved up all year and went to WDW for our honeymoon! :) It was AWESOME. We've been spending anniversaries there ever since! This will be the first one NOT spent in Disneyworld! But we're making plans to get away (just a little cheaper). Instead of a week in WDW, we may get rooms at the Grand Californian for a weekend or something like that, since we DID keep our annual Disneyland passes and it's close to us. SO - to anyone who is going this year - do a few things for me, will ya?
1) Get a sangria at Mama Melrose's
2) Ride Kali River Rapids
3) Say hi to the Hoop De Doo crew
4) Give Donald's Restruantosaurus a try
5) and finally, HAVE FUN!

Wow!! Big sacrifice, but definitely one that is worth it. I live in San Francisco and finally decided it was time to stop paying exorbitant rent and get a place of my own. But I had to move in with the parents for a year and sock away as much money as I can for downpayment. And my trip to DW in Sept of course.
