Does anybody know how early the buses start to go to the park, i like to get there before it opens!!! and does anyone know if you can take a taxi from your hotel to Universal? and does anyone know the price of that trip? Being that me and my friend are only 18 we cant rent a car, so these answers would be appreciated!

No, Disney does NOT (and will not ever) provide transportation to a non-Disney theme park.

Thanks for that answer...

I knew that sounded completely unrealistic to me...

If I worked for Disney managment and they were doing that, I'd tell 'em all they're insane...

I'm new here so I don't want to offend anyone, but I mentioned MEARS earlier. I have been to WDW every year for the last 12 years (staying on property) and the only way to get to competitors is via MEARS (approx $12 per person) or Yellow Cab. MEARS is the bus you can catch from the airport to the resorts.

My cousin always stays off property, some of those hotels offer free transportation to the parks as part of their package.

Indeed, Mears is a good way to go.

As for the off property shuttles... There are some that are good, and then there are some that are deathtraps. Unfortunetly, there are some fly by night companies out there that don't take care of thier equipment, and run unsafe busses. So please, just be careful. :)

Yourride is the only way that I travel around outside of WDW while I am there.
I figure why should I pay $12 per person for a family of 4 when I can pay a flat rate of around $30 round trip for all of us.

I've only ever been to WDW with one other person, never a group. Yourride sounds like a great idea for families. How do you get in touch with them?

Yes that is correct. I do believe that Tiffany charges extra for a car seat where Yourride doesn't. I don't use Tiffany after I used them a few years back and the car was filthy and they made us wait 20 minutes while the driver went to get the car.

Wow, I've used them for the last 3/4 years and have never had a problem. And I'm like you, I don't want to wait - I want to go now, not wait on someone. That would have made me extremely ill. Now watch, next time I go something gross will happen...

One of the things that I don't like about Tiffany... and I could be mistaken in this... but, often times when I see one of thier vehicles on property... it's actually some other company that Tiffany contracted out. Thier vehicle retains the original company's name, and a removable magnetic Tiffany sign on the side... Im wondering if they act as an agent, and contract out to other companies who might not hold up to the required standards? *shrug*

Good speculation. Now I will definately keep an eye out for these things on the next trip. I haven't noticed a magnet on the side of the car, but then we always arrive/depart EARLY in the morning or in the evening. Now I'm rethinking my mode of transportation from the airport to the resort. Hhhhhmmmmmm
