I cooked a Liberty Tree Tavern themed dinner buffet for a combined holiday party and a celebration of my dear wife getting her doctorates. Roast Turkey with bread stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy and cranberry sauce. Glazed baked ham, and grilled sliced London broil. For sides I had green beans and Stouffer’s macaroni & cheese; I bought a few of the extra-large size and put them in a crock pot. Everyone said it was delicious and asked for the recipe. On the table I also had rolls and butter and salad and put out 3 different dressing as well as oil & vinegar. I varied from the menu a little for dessert as I had a cake made for my dear wife as well as my favorite dessert, pie. I had apple, pumpkin, pecan and strawberry/rhubarb with vanilla ice cream, or whipped cream.

Wow!That sounds awesome,Love the idea of glazed baked ham,& mac and cheese.:)[/quote

I usually get volunteered to cook at my dear wife's church, she's the minister, when I make ham eveyone expects Boston baked beans, we live in New England and it's sort of a tradition. They go very well with ham just make sure to open the windows later.

On a few occasions just to get our turkey fix, we've gone and got turkey legs! Then had a proper meal later on.
Not that you'd be able to do Disney turkey legs of course, because i just don't think turkeys come that big over here in the UK! :p

Never done Christmas or Thanksgiving, but I've been that time of year and have friends who have gone for Christmas. It's funny b/c most of them tried to keep at least with their Christmas eve traditions while at the world. Some of my Italian friends tried to come as close to the 7-fishes as possible, while others of us went for our other traditions of everything from pizza and fried chicken to Mexican.

As for actual Christmas dinner- while some people do a repeat of Thanksgiving with turkey, most people I know go for ham. In fact, I usually pass the Honey Baked Ham shop every year on Christmas Eve and the line is a mile long. Every now and then my horrible step sister in law's nice hubby (quite the contrast) will make a crown rib roast as well. My dad's side of the family would do totally different sides- family cole slaw recipe, German potato salad, carrot & raisin salad, etc. where my inlaws try and do a mix of Thanksgiving sides and new sides- so mashed potatoes, corn, rice, green beans, and crescent rolls. I sometimes add mac & cheese to the mix.

Desserts are a combo of pies, cakes and cookies.

Oh, and while egg nog is usually my beverage of choice...I saw a phenomenal drink today involving ice cream, rum, pumpkin pie filling, and spices.

I think an Epcot "food and wine festival" type evening would be fun. You can offer an assortment of finger foods or appetizers from anywhere in WDW along with an amazing Disney Dessert Bar. You can offer Disney shaped cookies (Wilton offers Disney cookie cutters in the shapes of Castle, Crown, Slipper, Mickey's hand, star and Mickey Icon), We have them at our local Walmart in the party supply aisle. You can make a couple of the many creative cupcakes that you find at WDW, not to mention cakes, S'mores (Prime Time) and sundaes. I think I might have to do this. My mind is is starting to go into overdrive with ideas. Have fun with whatever you do.

I've used a WDW pasta salad (either Boma's or Crystal Palace's) recipe as a side dish for Christmas. They are easy because they are something you can make a day ahead.
