Only if she and Teegra, from Fire & Ice, wear trench coats like Jessica Rabbit does.If TDC now owns Bakshi's Wizards, does this make Queen Eleanor a Disney Princess? If so, I gotta be first in line for the meet&greet.
Its an old adult animated movie from the 70s made by the same film maker as Fritz the Cat.Is that a kids show?
Interesting thing is they are both rated PG.Its an old adult animated movie from the 70s made by the same film maker as Fritz the Cat.
Would be PG-13 by today's MPAA.Interesting thing is they are both rated PG.
The real, snark-free answer is that not every princess that is Disney is a Disney Princess, nor is every Disney Princess a princess. The character needs to be "inducted" into the club.If TDC now owns Bakshi's Wizards, does this make Queen Eleanor a Disney Princess? If so, I gotta be first in line for the meet&greet.
Case in point, Princess Eilonwy, Princess Giselle, Princess Vanellope, Princess Leia are not Disney Princesses. However, Mulan is a Disney Princess but never was a Princess. The real, snark-free answer is that not every princess that is Disney is a Disney Princess, nor is every Disney Princess a princess. Moana, Raya, and Pocahontas (daughters of chiefs, not princesses) are Disney Princesses. Anna (a princess) is not a Disney Princess.
Reason: Frozen sells enough merch on its own that there's no need to include Anna and Elsa in the Princess line.
What is all that? Who are these people? If TDC now owns Bakshi's Wizards, does this make Queen Eleanor a Disney Princess? If so, I gotta be first in line for the meet&greet.
You've never seen Wizards, Fire & Ice, American Pop or Lord of the Rings? What is all that? Who are these people?
The trench coat totally defeats the whole purpose of this exercise.Only if she and Teegra, from Fire & Ice, wear trench coats like Jessica Rabbit does.

In Princess Eilonwy's case, if your movie tanked, not only are you excluded from the sorority, but you never get mentioned again.Case in point, Princess Eilonwy, Princess Giselle, Princess Vanellope, Princess Leia are not Disney Princesses. No, no, no, what does LOTR have to do with any of those other "things"?You've never seen Wizards, Fire & Ice, American Pop or Lord of the Rings?
They are all animated movies by Ralph Bakshi and released by 20th century Fox. He made an animated version of The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers back in '78. He never finished the Return of the King so Rankin & Bass did it. He also did the animation for Cool World. He did a lot of rotoscoping in his animation. Also some of his work is very adult oriented. So Raya will never be a Disney Princess since her movie tanked. Princess Leia's movies didn't tank but she doesn't have a talking animal companion so she is out.In Princess Eilonwy's case, if your movie tanked, not only are you excluded from the sorority, but you never get mentioned again.
Technically, Giselle was also never a princess, since she never marries Prince Edward. Which makes, to my knowledge, Idina Menzel the only actress to play two different princesses in Disney movies.

Even a Tolkien-nerd like me found Bakshi's version almost unwatchable back when this was the default movie version of the books. Those Rankin & Bass TV films were better, and I still think their version of The Hobbit is a more satisfying adaptation than Peter Jackson's prequel trilogy. They are all animated movies by Ralph Bakshi and released by 20th century Fox. I'd show a picture of Queen Eleanor and Princess Teegra but the mods would delete it.
