Space Mountain Hits 3-Hour Wait as Presidents' Day and Mardi Gras Collide at Disney World
In fairness it’s half that now. Peak wait time like that could be from a few factors.Three hours for Space Mountain? That’s crazy!
Yeah, but from what some say, its a very low-volume, decreasing-attendance three hours.Three hours for Space Mountain? That’s crazy!
I heard Bob personally told leaders to cancel all discounts as a result of the three-hour wait for Space Mountain.Yeah, but from what some say, its a very low-volume, decreasing-attendance three hours.
Are there a lot of discounts for this time? If so maybe that would explain the large numbers.I heard Bob personally told leaders to cancel all discounts as a result of the three-hour wait for Space Mountain.
Nah. The three-day weekends are always packed no matter what time of year it is.Are there a lot of discounts for this time? If so maybe that would explain the large numbers.
It’s just precedented demand…problem Hans Been busy these last 51 years…this was the first free day on the calendarDoes one side of Space ever go down while the other operates? Or do both shutdown if there's an issue? Reddit was claiming it's been down a lot over the last few days, wasn't sure if they can run at reduced capacity or not
Yes it can operate one side at a time.Does one side of Space ever go down while the other operates? Or do both shutdown if there's an issue? Reddit was claiming it's been down a lot over the last few days, wasn't sure if they can run at reduced capacity or not
…as it does quite often during those “exclusive, extra magic Minutes for cherished on property guests”Yes it can operate one side at a time.
I’ve been to the parties, extra hours, etc. and I don’t remember a significant wait at Space Mountain, probably because of the limited number of people allowed at those events.…as it does quite often during those “exclusive, extra magic Minutes for cherished on property guests”
But I hear nothing but swooning with Universal's system which is infinitely worse. The creation of LLMP, ILL and LLPP systems has broken things things so badly and is why we see these huge waits.
We see LLPP SELLING OUT (at about $350 each) IN THE MIDDLE OF January!!!
The thing is, the more broken the system is, the more money Disney makes!!!!
I don’t think so. WDW has always had long lines because it’s a popular venue. The creation of LLMP, ILL and LLPP systems has broken things things so badly and is why we see these huge waits.

I do not remember three hour waits for Space mountain in the month of January in the 80sI don’t think so. WDW has always had long lines because it’s a popular venue.
I remember avoiding lines in the 1980’s because of how long they were. I’ve negotiated the parks from all standby to the current iteration. Always long lines especially at busy times.
Several people have chimed in with solutions that work best for them but Disney needs to satisfy everyone. These days all parks have paid line skip systems because people want them. The problem with WDW is that it’s bigger and more popular.
