I am pretty excited for The Walt Disney Studios Animation attraction, Im hoping it’s very fun and immersive.

Probably Buzz just because its needed a lot of work for some time. It is a fun ride which will be made much better with the hand held Blasters, better indication when shots are hit, as well as improved colorful scenes and other upgrades.
That's what I said as well.

Between that and COP's update, the DL purists can stop trying to say that the DL TL is better than the WDW one when it is literally the only land in DL that is NOT better than the MK counterpart...not even close.

Really, who is saying this? They must be making up alternate facts which seems to be popular in today’s culture. I am a DL purist to the max and I wholeheartedly agree that MK’s TL is superior. It still has COP, an elevated Astro Orbiter, a working PeopleMover w/ EPCOT model, TRON Run and you’re Buzz even without the update has always been better than our version. MK’s Space Mountain would be better than ours if it had a major update. Star Tours doesn’t really matter but is more aesthetically pleasing overall at WDW. The only thing our TL one ups MK on is the Autopia compared to GPR and we have a Submarine Voyage but even many of the DL faithful despise the Nemo overlay. As for other lands, I would say Liberty Square is pretty on par with NOS but that can be debated by many.

Carousel of Progress, hands down.

Anything that helps to extend its existence is a plus.

Just hoping this particular ‘plussing’ is handled well and classy.
Deserving of this Attractions’ long history.

I still have mixed feelings about a Walt AA, knowing it was something he was against seeing happen.

I didn't choose COP but I am eager to see the Walt AA added into the presentation... if it continues to function as planned. Its good that Dis is adding more Walt elements into the parks. It would be nice for guests to acknowledge all that Walt gave to us. The EP statue was a welcome sight and it has a realistic representation of Walts face.

I'm excited about the Walt AA. I'm old enough to remember Walt being on TV. Went on CoP at the NY Worlds Fair.

I just wish they would update the last scene.

I didn’t hear what the final plans are…but the Disneyland version of big thunder is a way better ride. Much more fun.

If they can pull that off…it will be the best longterm improvement

That's interesting...do you have a citation on that?

Wouldn't necessarily bother me anyway if true; after all, Walt never asked Abe Lincoln if he was against it!
I think it’s more an extrapolation of “suspending belief”

Having a creepy statue of himself say his own quotes would not be something he’d sign up for

Abe Lincoln was a bit more “historical”…they didn’t have him on tape

Yes...

I have had ones tell me that the thing in the middle of TL is a work of art and that the TL there is better because their PM was better. People, you haven't had one in 25 years!

Also, when ToT was a thing in DCA, had a CM out there try to insist that one was better. Uh, no. Also have had security there try to insist their security is more effective than WDW. 😑

True, Abe had no say in the matter.
But as a President and historical figure that inspired Uncle Walt, I can see why it was done.

Regarding Walt commenting on not having himself being a AA figure ….
Some time ago there was commentary made by a few people who worked with Walt saying the topic had come up in the past regarding a representation of him in the Park.
Might have been Blaine Gibson, and I know at least one of Walt’s family members at the time had commented.

Walt had stated he wasn’t keen on having himself represented in his own Park as a statue or Animatronic.
He felt it was a bit awkward and he didn’t feel he needed to put on a visual pedestal like a ‘shrine’.

Years later of course we have several representations of him in the Parks, including the famous ‘Partners’ statue ( sculpted by Blaine ) and the seated effort over at Dreamers Point.
These recent Animatronic creations can also been seen as similar tributes to the man.

It’s a nice nod, but knowing it was something he was not overly keen on creates my own personal mixed feelings on the matter.

He might have just meant while he was alive. Being remembered after you're gone is something we all want and I doubt he would have not wanted that. We all do. Myself, I'm just waiting for some sculpturer to ask to create me in Bronze. I'm to humble, of course, to ask for it as I'm sure everyone knows.
might be that unless I lose a little weight doing so might create a world wide shortage of Bronze

The only ones I am not excited about is Bluey and the Castle repaint, not against them, just not excited.

I am doubtful that all of these will be open in 2026 or if they are, at very end of 2026 so they are just technically opened in 2026.

Lets hope for the best and see what happens.

CoP, as it is, is a representation of what life was like and how we progressed during the 20th Century and was updated to go from one end of the century to the other. It is foolish in today's technological world for anyone, including Disney, to try and guess the future or should try.

Not altering it is the exact reason it still exists. We don't need to update to the present because we live in it and what the next 75 years will bring is absolutely impossible to speculate about. It doesn't need to because it complete spells out the entire 20th century and that is why it still exits. We watch it and the last section becomes as ancient as the first segment was to us. If we want to know how things turned out in the last 25 years just walk outside the theater. It is in Futureland because it graphically shows just how far we advanced during the last century, we live in the current century, and the Land is supposed to show the future. That gives us the past, present and imagined times to come all in one land.
