I have to confess, I know they're cheesy, but I love me a Hallmark Christmas movie. I can't wait to see what from the parks they decide to feature, and I wonder what resort they're filming in. I have a feeling Cinderella Fountain may see some increased wishing after this!
On Tik Tok there was one part being filmed right up after entering the front gate at DHS..

Now, hopefully they will not just make the front gate there the entrance to all of the parks like they did when The Muppets came WDW...😅

I was there.

Will put a few more pics in my TR, but they’re all similar.

I love both the movies and the Instagram reels spoofing the movies. Saw one recently where a woman was doing a “follow up” a year later and talking about her struggle with pre diabetes after a year in a town where everyone subsists on hot chocolate and baked goods, lol.

Maybe this one will be different but every Hallmark movie seems to be along the lines of "High-flying city girl comes back to her small town homestead for <family reason> and falls in love with <some guy she knew as a kid>, will she leave her career behind for love?" (and the answer obviously is always yes). Throw in a handful of royalty free cheesy numbers, a former well known celeb who's been out of the biz for a couple of decades for a minor cameo role and you've got yourself a halmark hit!

My mother likes Hallmark Christmas movies quite a bit. She was very concerned when I suggested Hallmark make this a musical (come on it's a Disney (World) movie, it needs to be one). I don't think I've ever heard of a Hallmark movie that's a musical - anyone know off the top of their heads?

There definitely have been some that feature music prominently, but I cannot recall a full-on musical, and I've been watching for a while. Kristin Chenoweth did one a few years back where she was the choir director, had to create a new song for the big concert, found a shy kid with an amazing voice whose dad isn't supportive of choir as an activity... you can see where it goes. :)

Yeah, its weird to me they don’t have a ton, because they’ve featured quite a few Broadway regulars in years past.

There was one - A Royal (something?) - a few years ago, filmed during the pandemic while Broadway was closed, that had a very theatre-heavy cast, and Tony-winner (and the guy dubbed ‘Broadway’s Boyfriend’), Aaron Tveit, was the male lead.

Never thought I’d see him do a Hallmark movie.

While this is definitely the typical formula, there are a few that are actually pretty decent.

‘November Christmas’ makes me bawl every year, mostly because the Sam Elliot-lead cast is so strong.

But I love even the terrible ones, for their sins 😆 When I was younger, we had a drinking/Bingo game we played watching them.

I love me some good Hallmark movies. Obviously some resonate with me more than others, depending on the cast, the storyline and of course the execution. Some I have been happy crying at the end, others I may not have even made it to the end. It all depends. I am looking forward to this particular one though. Lacey is a queen of Hallmark movies, that lady is in EVERYTHING so it is a bit of overkill to cast her. Travis is a good actor and I have liked him in all of the stuff I have seen. Let's hope this is one of those really awesome ones that leave you with the warm fuzzies!!! Marie

They hit upon a formula that works and they have built a way to produce the movies at industrial scale.

The concept and dialogue for these types of movies are right in AI's sweet spot. And soon the video will be 'perfected.'

Prediction: Next year, there will be a fully AI Christmas romance movie.

The year after that, over three thousand of them.

Hallmark will fight against this, it's literally the only part of the company that's routinely profitable.
