The Lorcana part makes me want to go, but I’ll have just been there for Marathon weekend. Hard to do two trips that close.

There will be some extra influencers out and about taking photos and vlogging - if that bothers you I’d plan to reschedule.

Otherwise I’d say it’s a great day to enjoy the start of the festival!
Exactly my thought but we do watch/follow a bunch of them so it might be a fun way to see who we can spot. We met the Trackers many years ago at AKL and it was one of the highlights of our kids’ trip!

I was at the opening day of Stella Nova hotel. It was downright bizarre to be surrounded by so many vloggers. Almost all of the tables around me were people posting and talking while they were eating. Many of them looked rather disheveled, especially at breakfast the next morning. Admittedly, I have never understood the appeal. Still, it was an odd look. Numerous people who had not brushed their hair, wearing dirty clothes, etc. were filming and commenting while actively chewing their food.

I've also attended opening day of the Art Festival. Expect to see long lines for the art and artist meet and greets. As with many similar events, the 'best' stuff sells quickly. Some booths looked picked over by the end of the day. A good % of the people buying art were Disney employees/AP/DVC, because they had to show their ID to get the discount. There was a steady stream of people leaving the park with art via the IG exit. (taking it back to their hotel room?)

I do not recall seeing many vloggers, though I wouldn't know any unless they are actively vlogging, or someone else IDed them.

The food lines were not too bad. The art lines were not too bad either, unless you wanted to meet one of the artists. Soe of those lines were long, and appeared to be moving slowly.

Ride waits were also minimal, despite somewhat moderate crowds.

A bonus of going early is that the chalk art, etc are all fresh and new. The CM's were also generally enthusiastic.

Would love it if Disney would let some of their performers sing non-Disney Broadway stuff to give the performances a bit more variety, especially because they have some talent who have done tons more than just Disney stuff... Not to be I suppose.

I’m surprised they’ve done songs from Aida and Greatest Showmen - got to be thankful for what you got! Haha

Those are still Disney shows though - there's probably at least a dozen I know of that have partially or fully written scripts they could pull from the pile of rejected/in-development-hell shows, but won't...
Oh I know…. But I’m surprised they went that far out of the normal IP.

technically Hamilton is on Disney+ and they have James Monroe Iglehart this year…. Could be fun!

Disney has announced dates for the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts: January 16 through February 23, 2026.

Wonder if they’re gonna bring that Figment head hat back? I know a special spin they can do for it now. (Put the classic artists’ beret on it). I bought a couple of the plain ones seen there when they released 10 years ago or so and they look fantastic, perfectly on-model, and great to wear during a cold day. A shame the ones sold currently don’t look nearly as good, as they weirdly use the same design as the Park Pals vinyl figure they sold around that time.

Disney Lorcana Comes to EPCOT Festival of the Arts 2026 with Collection Quest, Scavenger Hunt and Photo Ops

As I mentioned prior in the main Figment thread, love the new Festival of the Arts merch, especially the plush! That’s a guaranteed buy for me. Though, missed opportunity to have Dreamfinder & Figment Lorcana cards included in the mix. You’d think that would’ve been ‘the’ festival to debut something like that and thus jumpstart more DisneyParks characters being added to the game.
