Why are people that like burgers and chicken strips suddenly the lowest common denominator? These people paid just as much as anyone else to get in. Clearly there are more people that prefer that food to the African food... so it's more about catering to the masses than the elites.
Elites??? 😂 😂 😂 😂

I honestly want to be mad at this, but it's kind of shocking to me that this might be the only place to get tenders. If this was say MK where there are 3 other places with burgers and tenders, I'd be mad about it. But not at DAK, no matter how blah it looks. The big questions is what does Tropical Americas offer for food. If it's not burgers and tenders, perfect. If it is, I hope Harambe goes back.

There's no way Tropical Americas doesn't do Latin American cuisine, probably including arepas. It's probably the next-most crowd pleasing option possible behind standard American fare.

Can Pizzafari be adjusted to accommodate burgers and tenders? Not enough space? It's only open during lunch and is in a far more prominent location than Harambe Market,.

I'd like the idea of Harambe Market offering non-traditional fare along with it acting as a test kitchen for future DAK eats.

Depends. In some cases yes and in others no, it’s complicated. These kitchens are designed to be able to quickly mass produce their menus. Space is limited. If pizzafari wants to add grills and fryers to make burgers and fries they could. But they would need to do so by removing other kitchen equipment. So maybe they can add burgers and fries to their menu but now have less or no pizza ovens depending on space constraints. You can’t just add large kitchen equipment and prep space without taking something else away.

Pizzafari is already packed with guests looking for the items they sell currently. That one small kitchen is not going to be able to satisfy the demand for pizza currently met by Pizzafari AND the demand for burgers and fries currently met by Restaurantosaurus.

Time is a circle

Would we be happier if they called them ostrich nuggets and wildebeest burgers?

I’d destroy that burger, through tears, chanting “this is for Mufasa.”

( Thinks this over…. )

People go to a theme park themed to animals and the environment.
They enjoy seeing the animals.
They enjoy learning about the animals.

Then they complain there are no food options so they can eat animals.

( Contemplates ….)
