Probably from my party of 11’s Lightning Lane purchases. ;)
Yes you and everyone else who purchases LLs.

Let’s face it, unlike food and merch, the LL is a product they sell that cost them practically nothing.

LL is a massive revenue stream that came out of nowhere.

The best part is, the longer the standby lines are, the better the purchase of LL looks.

Not only is there no incentive to try to lower standby wait times, in a way, LL creates incentive to keep standby wait times high by not increasing park capacity which costs money.

In the event of a new attraction, it’s new, folks want to experience it, they need LL.

It’s a win win for Disney.

It's a win for me too as more ride openings basically guarantee more money which is what Disney is doing ;) not to mention, I always just buy LL anyway and get on everything I want.

Disney knows they've got a cult dedicated fan base when they take away Magical Express, take away luggage transfer, charge for fastpass, raise ticket and room rates at 4 times the rate of inflation, and charge Ludicrous amounts for party nights/events! Everyone loves paying more and getting less! Jokes on you rubes- I quit going to WDW and invested in stock instead. Thanks for the dividends suckers!

They probably go to WDW because they still enjoy it. That doesn’t mean they’re some kind of cult or too dumb to know better.

Despite all the “maxing out credit card” stuff you read there are a lot of people with a good deal of discretionary income who find WDW to be a great time.

Why must we be so mean to people who still enjoy the product? EDIT. To disprove that I’m exactly the type of person you’re talking about My family have never bought lighting lane and most likely never will.

Charge more and more and more!! People still spend the money!

🤦‍♂️

Don’t forget the part where they take more and more and more away from the Guests in services and experiences.

And said Guests still pay more and more and more…..for less services and experiences.

(Double face palm)

🤦 🤦‍♂️

And let us not forget that one of the reasons they hit this milestone is people are indeed paying far more then ever before on just about every element associated with a visit to WDW.

The highest ticket prices in the Parks history, high costs associated with LL, upcharges, hard ticket events ( and their price increases in tickets ), food and merch all increased, etc.

Cynical take -
It’s one of the oldest business tricks in the books.
Charge everyone far more then ever before and then claim you are ‘growing the business’.
All they are doing is charging three to four times more what these same customers were paying a few years ago.

But I digress…..

Yay WDW!
Demand is higher then ever!
Bob must be thrilled at these results.

Just think about what all that extra income will pay for as far as new rides, Attractions, and shows!
Let’s not think about how some of that money may be used to bulldoze things that might have been better left alone.

Do any of you ever track the costs of any of this stuff or do you just pick numbers out of your but and say "three of four times more.." just because?
I used to track 1-day, 5-day, and 7-day ticket prices until the date-based ticket pricing scheme came into being existence. But I still keep track of the top 2 AP prices. And there are other places to get certain other prices. I may still have some receipts from pre-recession visits, and I know I have some pricing info from 2004 and 2009 family trips. So if I’m ever talking prices, I’m not pulling them out of thin air.
