Animal Kingdom - Wait Times added for Walking Trails

Did anyone else notice the My Disney Experience app added wait times for Maharajah Jungle Trek and Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail at DAK? I'm guessing they did this to make it look like they have more attractions than they actually have; especially when Dinosaur closes. Honestly, I think that is kinda shady?

They should have taken the carousel that is planned for Tropical Americas and built it on Discovery Island so they could have it open and ready to go when Triceratop Spin closed. Or at least when Dinosaur closes.

Whilst I understand wanting another attraction, putting it on Discovery Island would be pointless. It would then be in the wrong location.

To add to what @JIMINYCR said, remember that when the tiger cub first got put on exhibit, they had to limit the number of people going through the trail, leading to the second longest line in the park after FoP. Having wait times built in in-app is useful for such instances.

Not shady but maybe they are anticipating guests will not be going to Dino and the other construction areas and therefore will divert towards other areas including the Trek and Trails and there will be a need for times to be posted.
Maybe you’re right. It was showing a 0 min wait, maybe it is a test for when they have to use it.

Not that this is a big deal, but I completely disagree. What’s more versatile for a middle, entrance type of land than a carousel? Plus, the theming is wood carved animals. Would fit perfectly as a compliment to the Tree of Life. There’s nothing inherently “Tropical Americas” about this ride. Not to mention there are actually a bit of unused spaces on Discovery Island it could go

Why does that space need to be used? Discovery Island doesn’t need a ride on it. The clue is in the name, it’s meant to be discovered by meandering around its paths.

It doesn’t HAVE to be used. My point is that they are going down to 5 rides. Which will soon be 4 when Kali is closed for winter. For their current price point I believe that’s not acceptable and there should at least be one more attraction open during the Tropical Americas construction.
