Internet reviewers have turned on Epic a bit recently due to serious operational issues mixed with the usual Universal park ops issues. They had better turn things around quickly. Big fans are visiting now and they’re getting big angry.
They had better or what?

They have the captive audience At least for now. They made the decision down the road to rest on the laurels of a bad Star Wars land that opened 5 years ago…

So that is locked in.

The negative feedback seems more concerning about no ability to provide comfort in the heat…’more than breakdowns

Those can be at least fixed. But building a concrete pad in the sun wasn’t wise

They expected perfection when the park is still clearly in preview, with signage all over the park stating as such, and that NOTHING is guaranteed to be open?

Universal is charging them full price to enter and they’re dealing with hours of breakdowns. They should be automatically refunded after days like today (it was particularly bad today).

Universal needs positive word-of-mouth from these previews.

They had a legit NASCAR racetrack in the Magic Kingdom's parking lot for over a decade. And yes, you could hear the cars from the park (and even worse, in those expensive Polynesian rooms too). The bigger issue is the crowds that show up for those things, but Abu Dhabi has more than enough hotel rooms/attractions to deal with it.
I remember the Richard Petty experience oval race track at MK parking lot. Those race cars were beyond loud from far away ! When the driving instructor crashed and died hitting a wall in a Lamborghini that sealed the doom of the guest Experience at Richard Petty at MK.

Social media is extremely fickle and I’m sure once they fix some of their issues it will be back to all smiles.

My bets are still strongly on Josh as CEO, even more so after this announcement.
Yea It’s obvious he is being trained under Iger to be the next CEO.

Too many actions point towards that direction and I’ve been saying it for long time now.

It just makes the most sense considering they seem to have the closest relationship out of anybody else I’ve seen in the C suite.

By the standards of WB's previous theme park adaptations, that's Monsters Unleashed quality there.
I just want a really high quality Looney Tunes dark ride with good looking animatronics. The last few attempts are something to say the least.

Well this came outta nowhere today…..

Thought it was a joke when I first saw the headline here, but then realized WDWMagic is the most reliable source and doesn’t post ‘fake news’.

All I can say is…..why..?
Just, WHY…?
🤔

Why build this..?
And why in this location…?

Just seems…unessesary to me.
Focus on retaining and improving what you already have.

Disney doesn’t want to or need to when U.S. market is good with attendance and spending.

This deal concerns me a little bit, as it might telegraph that Disney is in a bit of a cash crunch. Leasing out IP is known to be strictly a cash generator and not a brand builder. Iger straight out said today that “This is essentially a license arrangement with considerable involvement from us," Iger said. "We will have employees embedded in the organization with them, to help them operate a Disney theme park at the quality level that everybody's used to." This doesn’t sound like someone trying to build onto a brand, it sounds like someone trying to convince everyone that it won’t hurt the brand. If I had to guess, I would say that Disney is preparing themselves for a potential downturn in the economy.
