If Disney needs to increase capacity… why don’t they do that instead of constantly ripping out capacity before building?

Which is likely to create more meaningful memories for more children - a dance party or Tom Sawyer Island? How is the Goofy thing superior to a Chucky Cheese?
I was referring to underutilized areas. If Tom Sawyer Island and ROA aren’t drawing people as they should, I can understand Disney not wanting to keep them.

Even though the parks have a lot of room, people have somewhat limited walking capacity. You can’t blame Disney for replacing an attraction that isn’t used much instead of having people walk around it to get to an attraction they like.

I don’t have anything against any particular attraction, but the ones that no longer resonate with guests are likely to get replaced.

Goofy’s dance/play thing is not meant to replace any major attraction. It’s just a fun, temporary addition.

Why don’t they replace attractions with the same frequency in their other, more cramped parks?

Also, "core memories" is an overused term, and also not something I would apply to this particular event.

Yes, well, at least my two children...and my nieces, nephews, etc.
It's completely subjective. A Tomorrowland dance party is one of the few things my youngest remembers from those early trips to Disney. All of my children (and adults with them) had a blast. It was basic but fun.

Again, different people like different things. It is not like there is one winning opinion. Why do people debate these things?
Why do the passionate “CHILDREN LOVE IT” shields only come out to defend cheap, underwhelming new offerings and not to protest the removal of beloved old attractions? A lot of the same posters defending this are arguing passionately for the destruction of Tom Sawyer IslaIsland

As part of CKS Pop and Art have recreation hosts hyping up the Skyliner line in the mornings. It was a nice touch, they had chalk for kids to draw with, doing quick trivia’s for sticker prizes, bubble machine, park maps etc. Nothing crazy but it’s those little surprise and delight moments that add to the overall experience.
Is this explicitly due to the event, or could it also be something recreation came up with surreptitiously?
