Disney's Pop Century Resort Adding a Coffee Shop

You have to wait in line behind everyone buying food to get your cup (and pay).
Then you can self serve your coffee
So half way there! If the food court is properly staffed there really isn’t much of a wait usually, if any.

Outside of the parks, Joffrey’s stands don’t usually have much of a wait either.

Use mobile order; every resort except Coronado has it.
I have tried this - I don’t find that it saves much time. I still have to wait at the window until someone pulls my ticket and puts out my cup.
It’s not a huge wait (for mobile order or at the food court). I’d say I wait an average of 5-10 minutes depending on how early I arrive and depending on the resort.
Just stating that I think it would be nice. Whether or not it’s practical or profitable for Disney is another story entirely.

The horror!!!!
Genuinely confused? Are you horrified by waiting in line? That post was in response to someone whose proposed solution - I felt - would not be a time savings.
Or are you trying to mock me and let me know that I’m not allowed to post an opinion about something I’d like to see implemented in a coffee shop at a Disney resort to save time?

I'm remarking on the fact you think you're too special to stand in line (behind other people!! 😱) or have to wait to pay for your cup of coffee. If it is that much of an issue for you, make coffee in your room with the provided coffemaker.

I’m not saying I’m too good to stand in line. I was offering up what I think would be a great idea. A great use of technology.

A few years ago, I might have stated that I thought criss crossing every park to obtain a paper fastpass was inconvenient when technology could easily be implemented to obtain a fastpass on your phone.
Now I’m saying the technology could make it easier for me to get a cup of coffee (or anything grab and go really)

It’s a forum where we share what we like, dislike, encounter and see at Disney - or did I miss something?

I must be the only person left who, when he drinks coffee, just wants a cup of coffee. I don't get the explosion of all these froofy specialty drinks. Cream and very occasionally sugar are about the most I will modify my coffee.

Yup same. You then go to order it and you say you just want a white coffee and get a funny look from the server like you’re insane. “What…no double mocha choca vanilla cinamon peanut cookie brownie fudge nut topping?!?!”

I guess it seems decent enough, just surprised they had enough demand that warranted this
This could well be an element of reaction to the facilities offered at the Universal value hotels - the new Terra Luna/Stella Nova in particular.

This makes a fair bit of sense. Universals seem to have Starbucks in most of the lobby areas. Heck even places like the Hilton down on Hotel Resort Blvd has a Starbucks in the lobby.

I'm more surprised we've not seen a Joffrey's shoehorned into every resort at this point.

Wow, in all my years I have stayed there they seem to try a different idea for that station...First it was desserts, then a few years later it was an ice cream scoop parlor, then it was a flatbread pizza oven station and now it's coffee....
