Closing this is an absolute crime and no one is going to convince me otherwise.
I intend no disrespect to the talented performers who have come since, but The Muppets were Jim Henson, Frank Oz, Jerry Nelson, Richard Hunt, and Dave Goelz. And of that group, the absolute core were Henson and Oz. They were the heart and soul of the Muppets.
That group was the secret sauce that, IMHO, can never again be duplicated. And it's one of multiple reasons why Disney's attempts to revive the franchise have repeatedly failed. Once Henson died, there were a couple of good efforts -- I'm thinking of Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island -- when Frank Oz was still performing and Brian Henson was at the helm, but most things since Jim Henson's time have fallen flat. And once Frank Oz retired from the Muppets, it was over.
Muppet*Vision 3D represents the last of the Henson era and one of the last truly great things the Muppets did. People also often forget that it was Richard Hunt's last time performing his characters as well. I know that Walt Disney World is "not a museum," as is often quoted here, but this one needs to stay. Move it if they have to, but it needs to continue.
