I wrote an email to Bob Iger, and everyone else here should too. If they move the show from its current location, there's just no way it can be exactly the same. As others have said, without the preshow and all the gags in that room, without the animatronics interacting with the film and a live Sweetums coming out to complement the bubbles falling from the ceiling and the theater walls turning into burned out, hole filled, smoke billowing spots, you don't truly have MuppetVision 3D (and temporarily known as 4D for the some of the reasons I mentioned in this post).

Don't move what has become a memorial to Jim Henson and one of his proudest achievements, put Sully and Mike elsewhere!

Could have been a fantastic use for the Vision Pro. The 360 perspective and Spatial Audio would have been fantastic to document and remember the ride by.
I don't think Disney really has any intention of trying to recreate physical motion based attractions, but Muppets is a very unique show that would fit the technology very well.

Well if Sweetums doesn't appear from behind my living room curtains with a flash light looking for bunny, it will need improvement.

  • Honey I shrunk the audience rethemed to Muppet Labs and show moved into there.
  • Muppet courtyard rethemed to Star Wars expansion moving meet and greets from Animation Courtyard and connecting Star Tours as mentioned earlier.
  • Little mermaid new show moved to Frozen show theatre.
  • Monsters Inc replaced Animation Courtyard
  • Ratatouille themed restaurant replaces ABC comissary.
  • One Man’s Dream relocated and replaced by other Pixar attraction
  • Monsters Inc now connected through Comissary lane to Pixar meet and greets and Toy Story Land.
Everything down the stairs from M&M Runaway now Pixar themed and Star Wars fully connected.

And the preshow...

Interesting but, sad fact..The preshow was done just after Jim's Passing which is why you see more of Frank Oz's characters in it..And it hits you when Fozzie asks Where Kermit is..Even tho Scooter says he's in the theater "Getting Ready" You realize Henson had passed away and was supposed to be in but, had to be rewritten.

Disney clearly sees there's a lot of passion for MuppetVision, otherwise they wouldn't have done the Monsters location announcement in conjunction with the RNRC retheme, and added the part about "[preserving] the film and other parts of the experience", but is there any world in which the thing moves to a new venue in the parks, realistically? Surely it would do better than some of the other theater shows they have going, but recreating the in-theater effects and animatronics doesn't seem like something they're in the habit of doing lately, much as I personally wish they would.

This also means it is very likely the Indiana Jones stunt show is going to be axed at some point in the near future due to Indy in Animal Kingdom for whatever tenuous reason that may be. Not as sure about the princess attractions though, despite Magic Kingdom being a thing, given the princesses are far higher tier in Disney’s eyes than Indy/Muppets/etc.

I’m getting the feeling the only reason they’d axe any princess rides/shows is for Marvel, and even then…
