I see the news that Muppets returning to Jollywood (I didn't know they left)...Now that MV3D is closed I'm curious if they'll also coordinate Sweetums? (like they did with at least some MGM/HS parades)....

No..it's just Piggy & Kermit doing what they did in the Rob Lake Magic show...Be there for a moment, tell a joke, and leave to the pre-recorded audio given to them..

I just wish Sweetums could become a MG character, and not just the one in a blue moon meet like he was at MuppetVision 3D

It surprises me while Sea World/Busch parks have full bodied sesame street characters from Vee productions. The same company that does their live tours why can't Disney reconnect with them since they used them in their early years in the 90's to make a new set of characters..

Busch Entertainment has a long history with the Sesame Street brand. I worked at Sesame Place in Langhorne, PA back in the mid 80s. Being owned by AB, full time employees received a coupon for two cases of any AB product in every bi-weekly paycheck.

Most definitely will. Adding lots of Sesame St and Muppets merch. Goodbye any merch outside of the new theming.
lol, sesame st is not owned by Disney, so no, there won’t be any of that. My GUESS is plenty of muppet merch themed to the attraction as well as reg muppet merch, and I would expect many music things like drum sticks etc to still be sold. It’s a great ride merch shop and I think they’ll stock it nicely

Disney doesn’t own Sesame Street, so they’re probably not going to just sell their merchandise.

And how is merchandise being within theme a bad thing?

Of course, I said merch themed to the Muppets will be added in. I wasn't aware that Dis had no rights to sell anything tied to the SS brand. You think they will still be selling things tied to Aerosmith after they are gone?
