Trip Report Birthday at The Boardwalk-A LIVE Celebration!!🥳🎉🎂

We can’t fully start the party bc not everyone is here yet!! But here is how we’re starting!!

Myself, my niece, H & her boyfriend, T took the 5:05 flight out of Pittsburgh this morning.

Beautiful sunrise!!

We’re at different resorts so I traveled alone to mine.

I checked my luggage with bell services & out I went.

R is so excited this is finally open!! Get your wallet ready, buddy!!

I hopped on the Skyliner to go to HS to pick something up.

Just arrived at DS to meet H & T for lunch. Not sure what the afternoon is going to entail yet but it’s been a busy day so far!!

H & T were at World of Disney so I begrudgingly went in there. Gosh, that place gives me anxiety!!
So did the price of these!! @Figment Forever I immediately thought of you!!

I love the pumpkins that frame this display!!

H made a reservation about 3 weeks ago for Summer House. I was really excited bc I really wanted to try it. So glad I did. Everything was excellent & the atmosphere is wonderful!! My only complaint would be that the tables are way too close to each other.

T had a chicken sandwich & H had the rigatoni.

I went with the turkey sandwich. @Tuvalu I think you would approve of it!!

We wandered around a few more stores.

We came across this moving/talking tree. IMO it was quite bizarre.

It was also asking people for hugs. I can see how it could scar one for life!!

I was going to take a boat down to POR to take a quick walk around. I got my room ready text so I really started debating on what to do. I did really want to pay POR a visit so to the boats I went. A Riverside boat was just pulling out so I changed my mind & headed to the buses. I need to get my suitcase & grocery delivery from bell services. Plus, I probably need to leave the resort about 3:30. I think I made the best decision!!

We came across this moving/talking tree. IMO it was quite bizarre.

We always try to spot the person with the microphone making the tree talk

We encountered the tree last week and found it quite creepy. Never was able to find who was making it talk.

So, now I’m waiting for the monorail. I need to make a stop at the Contemporary then get to Kona Cafe for a 5:30 reservation.
Prior to this, though….

Sent R a pic of something he’s really looking forward to!!

Our room was ready. Had bell services being my luggage & the groceries. They forgot some.

I have to have a “Come to Jesus” talk with the front desk when I get back. 4 bath towels, that’s it!!

oh my goodness…. I hope that tree never asks Hope to give it a hug. It might be the last hug it receives. I could see my girl attaching herself and strolling around Disney Springs right along with it!

And those horrid Crocs!! I think they went up in price since last year? Is it possible? Although it’s Disney, what am I asking?

The party’s in full swing-too bad my live trip reporting skills aren’t!!

After heading through Epcot I hopped on the monorail to meet H & T for dinner at Kona Cafe.

I had the potstickers & the spicy tuna roll. Excellent choices!!

While we were eating one of my sisters came across this photo from many moons ago of H & myself.
Wow!! It has to be 16 years old!!

In case you couldn’t tell we’re wearing wigs!!

We walked around the Polynesian for a bit.

We walked while some people(even R is not this bad) relaxed in the lobby.

We took the monorail to The Contemporary to see if we could make some adjustments for tonight’s dinner. Afterwards we took the monorail to Epcot. They got a bus back to their resort while I walked through Epcot to get back to The Boardwalk.

I was due to meet up with some dear friends but as usual I was my frazzled, running behind self & still had to pick up something that I had delivered to the resort. I ran into them & promised I’d be back shortly.

We were going to meet in the Belle Vue Lounge but it was packed so we sat outside instead. And, I must say, @lindawdw’s husband is quite the server!!

Shorty thereafter the rest of the crew arrived!!
They gave J a huge bag of candy they got
the night before at a DVC event. He was thrilled!!

The party’s barely started & the birthday boy is already sleeping!!

About 10:30 we decided to call it a night!!

Such a fun first day!!
