MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

If it were closing this summer, they would have announced it by now, right?
When it comes to closures, Disney determines how popular they think an attraction is to give fans enough time to say goodbye. There is not pattern unfortunately. Country Bears had 18 days notice. Triceratop Spin had 2 months notice. It's Tough to Be a Bug had 1 month and a half notice. Muppet Vision had 6 months notice

Curious if they'll try to time the closure around Big Thunder's reopening. If all of that was down at once Frontierland would be an actual ghost town. I'm sure there's still a ton of backstage work to do before they start filling the rivers. If you check the permits, there are several tree filled plots that are going to get cleared as staging, probably before any work starts in the parks.

You would think Disney would give advance notice as it might influence folks to plan a visit WDW to get a last visit to TSI, the fort and one last ride of the riverboat.

Having said that, we keep trying to apply logic in Disney's decisions when many of their decisions do not follow logic.

I don't think we can necessarily put faith in the words of the online chat cast member named Garland, but I've been assured that Tom Sawyer Island and the riverboat at least WILL be open during my trip July 8-15, and "there are no plans for closure."

NOTE: I am not saying it won't happen; I'm just glad it will be open for my trip, if what Garland says is true.

In Garland we trust. Last time I heard that name was my 85 year old neighbor when I was 8. Used to ride my bike around the block and would stop and talk to him. He had a big ol walnut tree in his front yard he fiercely protected from the squirrels. And on the hottest days of summer he would put a two lawn chairs and a small table with a pitcher of lemonade to share with the mailman.

Customer service only gives the information they have access to. Currently they have not scheduled the closure so that's what they say.
