I guess Toy Story Land is a true expansion. its fine. I like Slinky when I can get on it.

Agreed, Streetmosphere Characters was a big loss
TSL and GE are both replacements.

They destroyed the Backlot Tour, Streets of America and the Cars, Motors, Action stunt show and arena for them. I miss all of it, as much as I enjoyed Galaxy’s Edge. TSL is a wasted opportunity.

I disagree that galaxies edge is unpopular for that reason but I wonder what it’s overall guest satisfaction rating is so I’m paging @lentesta .

We don't rate the land itself, unfortunately.

Here's the relative ratings of the top Disney and Universal rides in the US:

1. Radiator Springs Racers
2. Rise of the Resistance (both versions)
3. Flight of Passage
4. Guardians: Cosmic Rewind
5. Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure
6. VelociCoaster

The major differences in ratings are with preschoolers and seniors.

Honestly not sure which is sadder at this point, the fact that Magic Kingdom is going to suffer irreparable damage, or the fact that this thread became over 500 pages long in the span of less than a year and whenever I pop into it it’s always full of the exact same bickering

Out of curiosity, what rounds at the top ten?

Guessing Safari, Everest, TSMM and… Tiana, Soaring, Forbidden Journey?

Meanwhile - in Paris - we are getting enhancements to the Rivers as part of their big renovation of Big Thunder Mountain

It’s so crazy how this company can be so inconsistent and disconnected in their actions.

Absolutely devastating to see this. Marc Davis concepts revived and also simultaneously destroyed elsewhere? Woof.

Everest is up there along with FOTLK. So's TSM in DHS and Runaway Railway. Remy's up there.

Below those it seems like it's a tradeoff in ratings between one group and another.

For example, suppose every group but pre-schoolers and seniors give Ride A and Ride B an average of 4.5 stars.

And then for rides A and B, the pre-school and senior ratings are the same, but switched.

Which one is rated higher?

We could just use the absolute number of surveys to figure out the numbers. Or we could say that the opinion of seniors, as adults with experience and taste, are more reliable than for pre-schoolers.

Streets of America was just... scenery. You got three times as much between SWL and GE.

You mention the two attractions that got replaced.

You failed to mention they were replaced by *four* attractions.

TSL and GE also took over BoH area. The footprint for guests *expanded* and the number of attractions *expanded*.

Backlot tour
Honey I shrunk
Theatre
Stunt Show

That’s 4 attractions and of course Osbourne lights was also an attraction for a portion of each year.

nothing needed to be destroyed for Toy Story land.

So galaxies edge was a trade for all 4.

Rise next to star tours and keep Jedi training would have been a win win for the park

The two lands still expanded the parks' footprint.

And added four food serves, and a bar. And hand-held interactive games. And shops.

And a lot more character interaction.

And *rides* over attractions. I was being generous when using "attraction" for the comparison since what was there before weren't rides.

Unless you're OK with flex theaters, faux scenery, and a play area someday replacing some rides since you regard them as equivalent?

A playground wasn’t a ride and the theatre closed years earlier
