It's still not running on all cylinders but I am curious to know how it ranks. @lentesta How's it looking? Any key comparisons/contrasts between it and other nightime parades? I think it's a turd honestly, but I know my lone opinion isn't that of the masses. Wanted more from this one. Very one-note.

We just talked about this on the August 18 Disney Dish. Starlight's doing well, especially with the (most important) adult and seniors categories.

Here's the ratings so far, and other nighttime spectaculars for comparison:

I wonder if those high marks are more based on being starved of a parade for so long vs the actual quality of the parade. "This parade is 5 stars because its predecessor is absolutely nothing."

Maybe some but Len has said the 4 stars is the average rating for something so 4 stars feels pretty reasonable for Starlight. I find the floats to be really great but is missing stuff b/w the floats so "average" seems about right

The show wasn’t awful by any means, the barges being out all day was awful.

I really liked Harmonious and know a lot of people that did as well. The barges as constructs were a problem, not just that they were out during the day but also that they limited where you could view the show from only portions of the lagoon for the full effect

Conversed with a lot of people that think best would be Harmonious but using Luminous' infrastructure

I mean, just look at the ranking thread in the general forum. Most people on these boards are putting Starlight near the bottom of their lists.

It’s good, but it’s not great. YMMV.

I do think overall the nighttime parades have been very good so even being lower on the list it can still be a good parade, but as much as I enjoy it, not sure which other ones I would put below
