Universal Stella Nova Resort and Universal Terra Luna Resort

I hope this is their last "basic/low themed" resort for a while. I can excuse this resort and Endless Summer as Universal needed to boost their room capacity, but they really need to diversify their themes for later resorts.

I'd love to see them go back to building a value resort comparable to Cabana Bay or something more exotic like Portofino Bay or Royal Pacific.

I’ve watched multiple first day visits and posts. IMHO this: (1) looks like a good value for your money; (2) has a very consistent space theme of a level consistent with the price being paid; and (3) is more interesting and affordable than any new rooms at WDW - which are DVC. Will consider staying here when we visit, by which time all the new build issues will have been straightened out.
On the new build issues, in the postings I’ve reviewed, what I don’t hear about is what or if Universal/Lowes took actions to make it right. If my hotel room never had hot water, I would expect something from the provider, like - changing rooms, food or other vouchers, points, a free night, or a full or partial refund. I’m curious to know what steps they’ve taken to address these, as that doesn’t come up.

I read on the hotel pages for these on the universal site, it says these hotels will have the option of walking to epic.
Stella Nova definitely will and it's already being advertised as a perk for that hotel. I'm not too sure about Terra Luna since you'd have to cross the Kirkman extension including that weird roundabout thing. I suppose at some point they could build something similar to the bridge between Cabana Bay and Sapphire Falls and allow a walking path that way.

With Terra Luna opening today, I decided to check out the menus that were published today vs that of Stella Nova and noticed a few changes.
These comparisons will be as direct to item name and I will make all clarifications where I can.

• Hard Seltzers are 0.50 higher than Stella Nova across the board.
• Angry Orchard is $11 at Terra Luna vs $9 at Stella Nova.
• Canned Beers are up to $1 more then Stella Nova. Terra Luna is $10-12, Stella Nova is $10-11.
• Daft Beers are up to $1 more then Stella Nova. Terra Luna is $11.50-13, Stella Nova is $11-12.
• Cocktails at Stella Nova are $16 flat, Terra Nova they vary between $14-$18 Dollars
• Energy Drinks are $0.25 more, Fuji Water is $0.50 more.
• Wine, oh this one is a doozy for you. Prices differ between the two hotels by being 7% cheaper to being 39% more.

-- Lunch/Dinner --
• Quesadilla is cheaper at $11. HOWEVER If you want to add Chicken to it, a Chicken Quesadilla is $17 since the chicken add on is $6 more. Stella Nova, a Chicken Quesadilla is $15
• A Calzone is $15 vs $14 at Stella Nova.
• Wings are $14 vs $13
• The Kids Menu item, "Very Cheesy Mac-n-Cheese" is $10 vs $9 at Stella Nova *Stella Nova's Dinner menu is at parity to Terra Luna*
• The New York Cheese Cake is cheaper at $9 vs $10.

Moonrise Bar/Moonrise Grill
• Wings are $14 vs $13
• Terra Burger is $0.50 more then the Stella Burger
• An Ice Cream Sandwich is $8 vs $9 at Stella Nova, only difference is that Stella Nova as "SN" in the name.

$147 a night sounds great. Been saying this for years Disney needs to do the same (they won't) I just need a clean room to sleep in as I spend most of my time at the parks
These look nice.

I can't help but see what appears to be a reskin of an Endless Summer resort in that final picture that shows the pool area with the hotel behind it.

Whether it is or isn't, I hope they learned their lesson with the soundproofing between rooms/floors from those two builds which were meant to fill this same approximate price point.
