You did (miss it).I may have missed it, but I don’t recall people having conniption fits when they stuck Starbucks and McDonalds fries in the parks.
How many people stand around and watch the SSE shows? Add in a fountain that is synced to the shows and a festival booth or two and you then have a revenue producing fountain! How much revenue does a fountain produce? Epcot could charge rent for using the World Showcase garbage cans. It makes for tabletop eating and drinking for all of us during Food and Wine.
You must not have been on RADPI may have missed it, but I don’t recall people having conniption fits when they stuck Starbucks and McDonalds fries in the parks.
lol yes you definitely missed it. Both of those were hugely controversial at the time.I may have missed it, but I don’t recall people having conniption fits when they stuck Starbucks and McDonalds fries in the parks.
Oh, okay. I stand corrected.lol yes you definitely missed it. Both of those were hugely controversial at the time.
Starbucks on Main Street was VERY controversial and still is. I still miss the Main Street Bakery and I’m a total coffee addict.I may have missed it, but I don’t recall people having conniption fits when they stuck Starbucks and McDonalds fries in the parks.
People living in a city of tomorrow need sunglasses as well.

I also hate that we lost starring rolls at studios. Sad times.
Oh and I totally forgot - at Epcot Starbucks replaced the Fountain View Cafe that overlooked fountain of nations - I LOVED starting my day there. They had really good pastries.Oh gosh, the Starbucks on Main Street thing was a wild time. People were livid.

And the rent is a majority fraction of the gross not the net.I cant speak for conniption fits as I never had one, but the guest experience aside, Disney LOVES TO BE THE LANDLORD! Disney doesn't care about the guest experience or if the hut sells a single pair of sunglasses as long as they PAY THE RENT

Starbucks and TWDC are on the same page promoting a culture of inclusion.I've never liked Starbucks in the parks. It detracts from theming... plus nearly everything at Starbucks is terrible, but that's a separate discussion.
And people had the audacity to complain that Disney wasn’t putting capital investments into the park!Sunglass Hut opens in EPCOT's World Celebration Gardens
